Description

Our family loves beans, and one of our favorite ways to enjoy them is a whole-bean style (as opposed to refried!) called, “Frijoles Charros,” or “Charro Beans.” Our Vegan Charro Beans are tender and simmered in a flavorful broth seasoned with onion, garlic, tomato and paprika. We also added a touch of pickled jalapeño to give them a delightful and mild bite of spice. Enjoy them warmed — alongside a fresh stack of tortillas, served with carne asada, or paired with rice! Be warned, however, even as a side, they may just steal the show. ¡Buen provecho!

    Lower Sodium Charro Beans

    I love your vegan charro beans! They are a regular purchase for me; however, the sodium level is extreme, and I have to watch my sodium intake. It would be great if you could offer a low sodium version of these! Keep up the good work. Love your products!

    Tasty! But undercooked

    The flavor of these beans is amazing! However, it was hard to enjoy them because ours were undercooked and the beans were hard. I’m not sure if this was just a one-time issue or if this is how they usually turn out. Because of this, I’ll be hesitant to purchase them again.

    Quality has gone downhill!

    We used to be a big fan of these beans but the last 3 cans we bought were horrible! The beans are hard and the sauce is like water! I'm very disappointed and will not be buying again

    Already a huge fan of Siete Foods, but the Charro Beans are huge surprise! Tried a can tonight with quesadillas and Spanish rice and they were incredible. Tender and perfectly spiced. Would never know they came from a can. Way to Go Siete!!!

    Great Beans but TOO MUCH SALT.

    I love these Vegan Charro Beans - they're great, but like almost every bean product "out there", they're way too salty. If you care about added salt in your diet, avoid these. The added oil is also unnecessary. Its a bummer because they're so good, but I need to find an alternative without so much salt.

    Best Beans EVER!

    I bought these in the store because I had a rebate. Pulled them out last night to top a burrito bowl and I just wanted to eat the entire can right there. Will definitely be getting these again, and might just eat it straight out of the can next time!
