[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This small gadget has been so helpful in helping my elderly parents stand. After breast cancer and shoulder surgery, I struggle with helping my parents as they age. I was tickled to discover this handy pick me up handle. It helps to balance the weight difference and makes it so easy to go from sitting to standing. I am very pleased. Excellent product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Going thru cancer the joints get less sturdy and not predictable. Standing with a steady person on one side and grabbing the handle makes it far easier to have feet planted firmly on the ground and pull up. Sometimes we use it with the proper way and sometimes hold it sideways for what seems like even more stability. It is lightweight. We keep it on the TV tray so it is handy by the chair. It is rubber coated so there are zero rough edges at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never seen an ambulation device like this before and I have worked in healthcare for over 40 years. The non-slip padded grips are comfortable to hold and eliminates grabbing the patient by the arms. This device allows the assistant to get a proper stance to eliminate potential strains on the back. The concept is unique and I can see it working for appropriate individuals. I do, however, see an issue if the patient does not have the hand and/or arm strength to hold the device during the move. This could lead to a fall injury since the assistant is too far away from the patient to "break the fall". Such an incident might occur, for example, if the patient had a stroke and has weakness on one side of the body. I do think that it would be useful for a younger to middle aged patient who has difficulty rising from a sitting position.
SO helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not aware of the Stander Handy Handle - Red until I received it for evaluation. It came at a most opportune time. My stepfather recently had a leg amputated. It was very sudden and no one was prepared, least of all, my 78 year old mother. She and I have been using the Stander Handy Handle - Red to help get him in/out of cars, to move him from chair to bed, potty, etc. it really has made moving him easier and MUCH safer for both him and whomever is assisting him at the time. I will be buying more of these. We will be keeping them in the car, other rooms and always handy! This device has saved our backs and made a difficult transition so much easier!
Really helpful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was absolutely amazing to help get my mom out of the living room chair. It really took The stress out of my back. I also used it to get her out of the car. All the pressure is on the handle and not on me. Small enough to store in the trunk or anywhere. I highly recommend this product.
must have the strength to use

Very simple, but very valuable product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have trouble getting up from a sitting or lying down position because of my back problems. The Stander Handy Handle has given my husband more than a little relief from his job of having to help me up all the time. I found this product very helpful in my everyday living with back problems. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has difficulties getting up, and for caregivers who take care of folks who have trouble getting up on their own. I really like the size and portability of this product, easy to take with you for anywhere you may have to travel to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of the Stander Handy Handle - Red before I got one to try out. It's small and could easily go wherever I go. I thought I would really like this product, but it didn't work so well for me. My right side is pretty weak because of a stroke, so I didn't have enough grip strength to really hold on as I was being helped to a standing position. I'm sure this works well for many people, but it wasn't very useful for me.
Very helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a caretaker for my father, he's elderly and has had a few strokes and doesn't get around very well. He has trouble getting out of bed sometimes and he won't sit in his favorite recliner because it's too hard for him to get up out of it. He doesn't like to get out of the house because it's difficult for him to get out of the car or if we go to a restaurant he has trouble getting out of the booth or seat. And he has fallen onto the floor a few times and it's been very difficult for me to get him back up by just grabbing his hands or trying to pull him up from under his arms. So we tried this out and it honestly is a big help. It makes it MUCH easier to get him up from wherever he is. It's easy for both of us to grip and his hands don't slip off of it. It's the right size for both of us to grab simultaneously but small enough to carry around in my bag when we leave the house. It's lightweight but feels very durable.
