About the Author



DAVID L. MCKEE is Professor of Economics in the Graduate School of Management of Kent State University, where he specializes in development economics and economic change. Among his publications are Urban Environments in Emerging Economies (Praeger, 1994), Energy, the Environment and Public Policy: Issues for the 1990s (Praeger, 1991), and Growth, Development, and the Service Economy in the Third World (Praeger, 1988).

DON E. GARNER is Professor and Chair of the Department of Accounting at California State University, Stanislaus. He is a certified public accountant and a certified internal auditor as well as a specialist in auditing and accounting. Among his publications are Accounting Services, the International Economy, and Third World Development (Praeger, 1992), Accounting Services, Growth, and Change in the Pacific Basin (Quorum, 1996), both with David Lo Mckee, and Accounting Services and Growth in Small Economies (Quorum, 1998) with David L. McKee and Yosra AbuAmara McKee.

YOSRA ABUAMARA MCKEE is a private consultant, specializing in trade and development issues. Her work on international trade and services, economic integration and regional development has been aired in various professional publications and presentations. She is co-author of Beyond Edge Cities (1997) and Accounting Services and Growth in Small Economies: Evidence from the Caribbean Basin (Quorum, 1998) with Don E. Garner and David L. McKee.
