About the Book
Three fiancées. One reluctant Earl. A missing sister who holds the key to his heart. Barbara Metzger's "Ace of Hearts" deals a winning hand of romance, mystery, and laugh-out-loud mishaps in this sparkling Regency romp.
Alexander Chalfont Endicott, the Earl of Carde, has a problem--three of them, to be exact. Somehow, he's managed to become engaged to three different women. While society dubs him the "Ace of Hearts," Alex yearns to escape his romantic entanglements and fulfill his dying father's last wish: finding his missing sister, Lottie, who vanished thirteen years ago. As Alex navigates the perils of London society and his complicated love life, he discovers an unlikely ally in his cousin Nell Sloane. Their growing attraction threatens to upend everything, especially when family secrets begin to surface.
Will Alex choose duty over desire? Can he unravel the mystery of his sister's disappearance while protecting his heart from the one woman he never expected to love? With scandal brewing and reputations at stake, the cards are stacked against them in this enchanting story of love, loyalty, and second chances.
