Almost Perfect!
I was really pleasantly surprised by this pantry cabinet. I was looking for something to use as storage/coffee station, and came across this. I purchased it in the natural wood color. It has a great profile and looks nice in my kitchen. I was expecting it to be the really cheap and lightweight particle board, but it's not! It's still manufactured wood, and it probably has the laminate wood layer on top, but it really does have a nice, hefty weight to it. It's not solid wood by any means, but somewhere in between solid wood and cheap particle board. When it was delivered, I thought I could just pick up the box and bring it inside, but it was so heavy that I had to gently roll the box end-over-end to my door to get it inside. The surface doesn't feel like the laminate will start peeling up at the first sign of moisture, and it even has soft-close cabinets! The drawer is not soft close, but that's okay with me. The soft-close cabinets were a great feature, and something that I was not expecting at this pricepoint. I did use my drill to create holes in the backboard so that I can thread my coffee machine powercord and other various cords through the back, otherwise they would be dangling off the sides. I did take off one star because even though putting this together was very easy and the directions were simple to follow, the pre-drilled holes for one of the cabinet doors were not there. I had to get out my drill to make my own holes. As a result, the cabinet door is not 100% level. It's something that bothers me personally, but not something the average houseguest will be scrutinizing. Not a huge deal, but I just would have appreciated if it had the correct pre-drilled holes to begin with. I never post reviews, but seeing as this item had no reviews, I felt compelled to let other customers know that this is a great little pantry at a great price for what you're getting. I know that I always look at reviews for an item before purchasing and I think this item deserves a review to tell others that it's worth it. I am even debating getting a second one!
