Q: The specifications state, "dimmer switch". Does this mean this lamp will take a 3-way bulb (maximum wattage 150) and allow the user to switch between low, medium, and high brightness?

  • A: No they meandimmer like the knob turns slowly adjusting from very soft to bright, using one normal bulb. It's great, but our knob broke off. :(

  • A: It's not a three way switch, but rather a knob that twists from low to high for the dimming, like a volume knob on a stereo. I have a dimmable LED bulb in mine and it works, but produces a minor humming sound (which most dimmable LEDs do I guess ) and it will also flicker occasionally. Overall I love the lamp though. Very high end looking for the price!

Q: My lamp came with two tiny screws. Where do these go? There are several holes that look like they would screw into but they don't seem to. The instructions do not explain this.

  • A: Hi Kim, I don't have the exact max height of the lampshade, but at it's highest, it does interfere with tall people sitting on our couch. We ended up placing it at an angle so the shade isn't exactly over the seated area anymore.

  • A: Sandra, I have this exact lamp in my front room and yes, the bottom diffuser on the lampshade is removable. It's a normal drum shade and you insert the diffuser and push it to the base. In fact, it comes separate in the box - I thought about not using it: ie: with an Edison bulb. Hope this helps! -Eric

  • A: I have this lamp. I'm not home right now, but I do know that the base is not tall 0 maybe 2-3 inches. It's probably 18" diameter. It is partially under my sofa.

  • A: 1.5 inches is the height. Then the base is 12.5 inches wide. You'd only be able to slide 6 inches under the sofa though, as obviously the pole is in the middle. hope that is helpful :)

    I bought this lamp years prior and wanted another one. Quality has deteriorated over the few years. Cord is rubbery thin (not fabric) and frayed. Dimmer switch sticks/hard to turn- does not glide easily at all. Terrible quality. This is the 2nd one I am returning this attempt to purchase, as overall quality has deteriorated- not specific to just one lamp.

    This is great looking budget friendly lamp. It goes well with my Mission style decor. Provides just the right amount of light for my space. My only complaint is the contradictory information for the bulb. The Target website (see pic) states it needs a non-dimmable bulb. The second pic for this review is of the bulb base which indicates a dimmable bulb is needed.

    Two-toned

    Beautiful lamp, however some parts are true black and some parts are bronze. It’s more noticeable in natural light during the day time. Smart bulbs cause it to flicker, so make sure to use a regular light bulb.

    Cute but the light flickers

    This light is very cute and looks great in our living room. However, similar to other reviews we have had issues with the light flickering that started about 3 months after we bought it. Not sure what the issue is but it’s a total bummer because we love the look, it’s just not reasonable to have the light on while it’s flickering.
