Bought this because I wanted to verify the results I got from my health department test. The readings matched so this seems super accurate. Readings are not real time but lag (they do start to change within 1-1.5 hours after opening windows ect.). I usually air out the basement in the evening and check on the effectiveness the next morning. It takes AA batteries and can also be plugged into a charging block (not included.) it works great with an iPhone. I am using this to monitor our basement levels while we wait for mitigation. Very satisfied with the View Radon device! Would purchase again.
