Fuel is delivered by high quality wicks, made from cotton that is selected and woven exclusively for us. Air is metered by the precision engineered burner, and supplied in exactly the right places to provide the highest efficiency. A tiny blue flame heats the enclosed mantle, which is engineered to incandesce at high temperatures, to over 1000 degrees, delivering room filling "looks like electric" light. It's silent, powerful and efficient non-electric lighting!Bright as electric. The only oil lamp that is bright enough to read by without eye strain. Easiest to use mantle light on the market. 6x brighter and uses 1/4 of fuel, compared to other oil lamps. Burn time: 10-12 hours per fill.

Purchased this lamp for functionality for power failure or emergency inside the home. It is a beautiful lamp in it's own right. Very happy with this lamp, Lehman's customer service help and the protective packing of my order was exemplary! There was no breakage of the delicate parts...Thank you Lehman's
