Alaffia Everyday Purely Coconut Body Wash - 32 fz

I have extremely sensitive skin and have relied exclusively on this body wash for over eight years, using it as a body soap, face wash, and hand soap. One of the main reasons I was so loyal to this product was its simple, natural formulation, which never irritated or dried my skin. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed multiple formula changes over the years—each resulting in a noticeable decline in quality. What was once a clean, nourishing product has become drying and dehydrating, prompting me to search for an alternative. The ingredient list has expanded from just seven simple ingredients to nineteen, including synthetic additives and preservatives that were never part of the original formula. It’s disappointing to see such a significant shift, especially when the product imagery hasn’t even been updated to reflect these changes. As a Washington state resident, I’ve always wanted to support this local brand and continue purchasing this soap. However, it appears that product integrity has been compromised in favor of increased profit margins. I would gladly pay a higher price for the original, pure formulation rather than continue purchasing a product that no longer meets its original standards. Ethylhexylglycerin 16. Sodium Phytate 17. Phenoxyethanol 18. Potassium Hydroxide 19. Citric Acid I was once one of your most loyal advocates and recommended this product to everyone I knew. Sadly, I can no longer endorse it and am now sharing my disappointment with others who valued the same purity and effectiveness. This is a missed opportunity not only for your loyal customers and the communities your company supports but also for your long-term brand reputation. I sincerely hope you reconsider the direction you’re taking with this product line.

It’s suds up good but I cannot handle the smell, it smells like cleaner.

Yup, just like so many they changed their ingredients to a bunch of garbage!!

I recently rebought my favorite lotion - the everyday Shay in Lavender, and as soon as I put the new lotion on, my skin started burning. Upon further investigation, the new formula is no longer biodegradable. Which is also very disappointing. I will not be purchasing these products anymore. Total bummer

I have been using the wash for years, but will not repurchase because the formula has been changed and the ingredients are not clean anymore. The product has never been cheap but I still bought it because it was uniquely clean. Also, they have not changed the ingredient list on the website which is extremely fishy! This brand turned out to not be trustworthy!

This was previously a great product. When I last purchased it, the ingredients had changed significantly. Despite the fact that I notified Alaffia that this website still lists the prior formula, the new formula has not been posted. Customers, especially those with sensitivities, depend on manufacturers to provide accurate product information.

Like so many others I know, I am so disappointed with the ingredient change of this product. It was my absolute favorite & now I will never purchase again thanks to the addition of phenoxyethanol. So sad that this once clean company has sold out :(

This body wash makes your skin clean and moisturized. The fragrance is mild.

It lathers nicely, and cleans well. The only reason I have 4/5 is that it’s scent is not very coconut forward. Other than that I do love the soap!

I really like this soap, it doesn’t irritate my skin and it lathers well, a little goes a long way. I only gave it four stars because when i got my package, a substantial amount of soap leaked out. And it has happened before.

Smells wonderful, and cleans well. My skin dries out a little after use, so I apply lotion - overall very gentle on my skin though

My favorite body wash of all time. Neutral smell. Minimal ingredients. Doesn't dry my skin.

I like the way all of the shower gels lather, but this one doesn't smell like coconut.

As with the Face Wash , the body wash has made a tremendous improvement in the condition of my skin. It is no longer dry and has recovered some of its elasticity from my earlier years (I'm 70).

Great soap but the pump didn't work so I had to transfer it to another bottle. Their Instagram account said they'd ship me a new pump but it hasn't come.

Very moisturizing for dry skin, very soothing; very helpful. No itch afterward.
