More an 19 inches is needed to accommodate the handle projections in order fir the griddle to fit properly on the cooktop . Otherwise it is dood.

The heat distribution is what we expected, with the areas directly over the burners being a bit hotter than the middle, which was fine for us. It’s heavy, but it’s cast iron so we expected that too. Overall, it’s been great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested this griddle out by cooking up some breakfast. My photos aren’t aesthetic, but hopefully this is practical. Pros: -This griddle seems very durable and I believe the enamel coating will last a long time. -It cleaned up easily, even with spots where cooked egg was stuck on. -This will be a versatile piece in our kitchen arsenal. Its large size lends enough room for anything I can think of. Can’t wait to try stir frying veggies on it! Cons: -The griddle did not heat evenly on our GE Profile induction cooktop. Even with preheating for some time (close to 10 minutes), you can see an uncooked bit of fried egg in the bottom left of my photo. I’m hopeful that with some experimentation (a longer preheat?) we’ll be able to figure this out, so I’m just removing one star. -While the large size is mostly a pro, the tall handles make storing this piece somewhat difficult. I would prefer smaller handles, but might just be a personal preference.

The heat distribution is pretty good considering I’m using it on two burners on my stove top. This is top quality if you are looking for something large and sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great planchata, that works on an induction stove. As with all cast iron you need to add oil to avoid sticking. It provided a great large surface and had even heating (as determined by cooking mini pancakes all over the surface). Easy to clean and stores woth baking sheets. Note it does have some weight to it, which is noticeable when cleaning it.

It’s really to big to easily fit on the stove and cooking more than one thing on it, the food runs together unless your making a lot of the same thing. Not something convenient to have in your kitchen to store with its size and how night the handles go up.
