Book Synopsis
AlphaBet Chess offers a fun and simple way for kids to learn chess while remembering the key rules. It's imaginative and packed with engaging tips!
Each letter of the alphabet is paired with a key chess term, such as A for Attraction, B for Bishop, and C for Checkmate, brought to life through colorful illustrations and whimsical stories. This isn't just a book about chess-it's a book about discovery, designed to captivate children's imaginations while teaching them the basics of both the alphabet and chess.
Our goal with AlphaBet Chess is not only to teach the basics of chess but to inspire a lifelong love of learning and playing. We see AlphaBet Chess as a unique opportunity to bring families together. It's a book that parents and grandparents can share with their children, creating lasting memories while introducing them to the game of chess. In this Volume we continued our chess journey adding more chess terms but this time using rhyming.
Review Quotes
Huge congratulations to Vishnu on this project!
The last book (The Chess Bible: Most instructive Tips, Axioms, One-Liners & Mantras) was and still is an absolute BANGER. I created a YouTube series around this whole book that people still watch today!
Vishnu has a way of keeping the reader intrigued and keeping the concepts simple, while you learn something at the same time!
In this new book Alphabet Chess, you get to learn chess through the alphabets, A to Z, with a lesson for each letter. This book is not only for adults but for children as well, and with the colors and graphics, you have no choice but to laugh, smile, and enjoy the book haha!
Vishnu is a very hard worker, and this book represents nothing less of the work he's done on and off the chessboard. His last book had over 100 instructive tips and mantras! So much to learn from that one, and forever book if will. With this book being shorter, Vishnu has made it a much faster book for you to go through, something that you could literally go through everyday! You will start looking at the alphabet a lot differently after you go through this book. My hope is that you are able to not only use the chess alphabet in your own games, but to also be able to teach it to others!I wish nothing but success for you and that you look at chess differently after you learn the Chess Alphabet, something I have never even done myself, but everything is explained so simply that you would be able to use what you learned immediately. Thanks to Vishnu for another great book and big thanks to you the reader!
Now I know my ABC's, next time won't play with me hahaha

The AlphaBetChess
series is a captivating project by Thinkers Publishing. It is educational in
nature, written in a way that is engaging for children, and illustrated with
beautiful pictures. When my generation started playing chess, we could only
dream of such a series. Therefore, I recommend it to anyone who wants to
introduce their kids to the magical world of Chess. GM Vladimir Akopian, October 2025, Los Angeles.
I have
always been passionate about keeping chess fun, especially when it comes to
kids and anyone learning the game, and so the AlphaBet Chess Series really
resonates in our house. My 7 and 5 year olds absolutely love Alphabet Chess and
it has now become a regular bedtime favourite. Sometimes I even find them
picking up the book on their own and flicking through the colourful and
entertaining pictures. And of course the best part is, they are learning lots
of chess concepts without them even knowing it; and that is the real genius of
these brilliant books! I highly
recommend Alphabet Chess and hope that others will find the same enjoyment
in their homes as we have in ours! James

All
parents are teachers, and they often
have to balance fun and seriousness while teaching kids complicated life
concepts. With Vishnu's book this dilemma disappears for chess, now you can be
a clown too! GM

I
absolutely love The Rhyming Chess Chronicles. For new chessplayers, it will
help them remember tricky rules like castling and en passant, as ample research
shows that rhymes and jingles are powerful for building memory. For fans of
chess, it will entertain with its catchy rhymes and brilliant illustrations.
Above all, The Rhyming Chess Chronicles is a vivid reminder that chess is not
just competitive, it is also pure fun. As a chess mom, I can't wait to read
these rhymes to my son! Bravo Vishnu and Diriq! Jennifer Shahade- Three Time
National Chess Champion and author of Thinking Sideways: How to Think Like a
Chessplayer and Win at Life, October 2025.
AlphaBetChess is a novel concept for teaching
kids about the world of chess. Rather than intimidate youngsters with complex jargon and
unintelligible notation, AlphaBetChess breaks
down complicated chess concepts into understandable stories told in a prose
reminiscent of Dr. Seuss. This book is great for introducing kids to the
enormous world of chess in a lighthearted, fun way.GM Raven

As a fellow chess coach, player, author, enthusiast, and most
importantly Dad, Vishnu's AlphaBet Chess Volume 3 warms my heart. With Dr.
Suess-esque rhymes and super fun cartoons by Diriq, this book will be a hit for
kids, parents, and coaches alike! It highlights many key chess ideas with
easily understandable chessboard visuals to complement the rhymes. Oh, and if
you're a rap fan like me and my chess kids, each page also makes a fabulous
chess rap! Enjoy!Siva Sankrithi - former teacher and father of 2 boys (under 12) that
have written 2 chess books, USA, September 2025.
Warrier's
'AlphaBet Chess Series Volume 3: The Rhyming Chess Chronicles A-Z' transforms chess into an exciting
and enjoyable adventure for its young readers. Warrier weaves creative
storytelling in the poems and shares amusing, engaging images and colourful
presentations to teach various chess concepts in a fun manner. Warrier's
experience as a parent helping his own children learn various skills through
chess shines through in this book, and the kids who read this concise book
will discover many valuable insights beyond chess terminology.
