These tightly woven towels are extremely strong and durable, and feature a stylish handcrafted fringe that makes them stylish as well as practical. American Soft Linen Terry Peshtemals when compared to most towels are just as absorbent due to the high end fabric they contain. Our double sided Peshtemals are manufactured with 100% Ringspun Genuine Cotton. We call it double sided because the front is a lean peshtemal and the back contains a delicate thin layer of terry cloth. Both surfaces would make you feel the softness and they absorb water to a perfection.

The fabric seems a bit rougher than other Turkish towels I have seen, but I love the size. It’s a beach blanket that you can use anywhere. I don’t recommend after the shower though, the fabric left lint on me.

I bought this since I wanted a big towel that I could cram into a backpack for swimming. It becomes smaller than a hoodie when you fold or roll it up. It dries quickly, even if I left it in my backpack overnight. Could be more absorbent, but I think as I wash it more it will improve greatly. I love it
