Annie's Shells & Real Aged Cheddar Mac and Cheese - 6oz

New recipe lacks flavor, powder is difficult to mix, consistency is gooey not in a good way. I have been buying my kids this Mac and cheese for almost 11 years. It was our favorite. When neighbors would come over they would be thrilled that I had “the good Mac and cheese”. I’ve made this a few times since new recipe labeling it as “now more cheesier” has been on the box. Today was the last day. None of the 6 kids at my house could stand even their first helping. Bummed. Please consider revision as you really had something good!

This used to be the gold standard of mac & cheese. Now they have changed the formula; the box says "now cheesier!" The sauce is thicker, and the rich taste of the aged cheddar is gone. I'm sad :(

I am devastated by the change of the recipe. It’s nothing like the original. I have eaten this Mac and cheese consistently for probably almost 20 years. I moved to Australia and my husband would import 10 boxes of it for Valentine’s Day or my birthday. That is how much I loved this Mac and cheese. It is not only unrecognizable, it’s just not even good. It tastes as mediocre as Kraft now. It’s flavorless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so disappointed in this mac and cheese the box claims it's "now cheesier" but it doesn't taste very cheesy at all it was quite bland actually. I did use unsalted butter when I made this so I will repurchase one more time and try salted butter and see if that helps I did prefer the texture of this mac and cheese over the other popular brand.

I don’t like for the kids to just have pasta, so I saw where some people added some mixed veggies & chicken to make a more complete meal. This was a hit with the kids! The packaging is easy to find & distinguishable among the more processed macs. Would definitely buy this again, I’ve seen some other recipes as well, probably will try mixing in some BBQ chicken next! Yum!

I loved Annie’s, I grew up eating this pasta. It’s always had the best flavor for box Mac n cheese but ever since the new recipe it’s completely fell off the list. The recipe isn’t as good, should keep this new one in case people want “cheesier” and bring back the OG recipe. I know this review is not going to make it to the team but in case it does please consider I’m desperate. Nothing hurts more than a craving you can’t fulfill. At least send me some old boxes 😂😂

I can't believe you ruined our favorite boxed macaroni General Mills - cornstarch? I'm out! This is exactly what happens when a big, horrible brand ruins a small brand. I am out on EVERY Annie's, good luck with your purchase GM.

Wow you guys really messed up a good thing in order to maximize corporate profits. This is a massive backfire for me and seemingly for others as well. Will never trust you again.

Another sad example of a good product that has decided to cash out their good rep to scrimp on customers. Apparently in someone's at annie's book, 'cheesier' = 'more corn starch'. I have a few boxes of the old stuff left, and then I guess I will need to start the search for something new... Bye Annie's.

Cutting costs really obliterates quality tenfold. The whole "cheesier" thing is just marketing for "we're willingly destroying the taste of our product for a cornstarch substitute that'll MAYBE save us a couple pennies". Bring the original back and I'll come back too.
