Sophocles (ca. 495-405 BCE) was an ancient Greek dramatist. Elizabeth Wyckoff (1915-1994) was a professor of classics at Bryn Mawr and Mt. Holyoke. Among her translations are the versions of Sophocles's Antigone and Euripides's The Phoenician Women included in Chicago's Complete Greek Tragedies. Glenn W. Most is a visiting member of the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago and an external scientific member of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin.
