Q: I see that it says it's "manual pushback." Does this mean there is no way to lock the back upright?

Flatpack standard, odd proportions
We've been using this chair for about 6 months. It's a decent chair for flatpack standards. I'm really glad we got it on sale. The fabric is starting to pill on the seat, we don't have kids or dogs or anything. The chair is designed to not be quite the right size for any one person: the seat is very deep, but the back and footrest are both a little short, so it's hard for short people to fold down the footrest but tall people stick off at both ends. The extra width is great. The angle of the back when it's upright is tipped a little too far back, so definitely plan on throw pillows for support.

Like sitting on board and noisy
The good? Return was painless and the target employee was very sweet. The color was beautiful and fun. The bad? All three adults agreed that is was extremely uncomfortable. I have sat on concrete benches that are more comfortable. The back was angled wrong for everybody who tried it. 5'5" to 6'4". It was slightly more comfortable reclined, but not much. The fed ex shipping was a joke. The box came bashed in and torn. That the chair pieces inside were undamaged, was a miracle. The mechanism sounded like a screeching cat. Also, the upholstery had a weird chemically, slick feel to it. The was really a disappointment. I had hoped it would be a great chair for reading to children in. The only thing I can figure with all the great reviews are that the company has a quality control issue, or they were made in different facilities. Believe the bad reviews. They are spot on with what I received.

Love it!
Easy to assemble. The cushion was a little stiff at the beginning, but beginning to soften up with use. The color is beautiful! Love it.
