This speaker is very clear, but it does not go very loud. There’s no rewind or forward buttons and it’s just not what I was expecting. It’s definitely not worth $300. But if you have money to blow, go ahead and buy it.

The sound quality is AMAZING! I normally am a Bose guy myself. But the larger Apple HomePod is almost just as good as my Bose system. It's even better when you get two and pair them together. The sound is out of this world. Plus it performs great with the Apple homekit (Smart Home accessories). Best puraches ever!
Good luck on controling volume on stereo pair, awful customer support

My biggest problem recently with the pair as stereo with my apple tv 4k has been the volume control, it does t work well anymore, it seems like it only controls one and not the other, it doesn’t matter how many times I’ve reset them or unpair them it doesn’t help at all, I’ve been on with customer service at apple and nothing, can’t seem to get help to fix it, and I know I’m not the only one, there are forums related to that specific issue, I thought apple was a great company but this is a major drawback for me

These speakers are okay for the casual listener and someone who is using them primarily as a television or movie sound. The processing does some unusual manipulation with the high end and completely mangles the low end. Worse these the consumer Bose products do. For 600 (pair) you can get a much more powerful home theater system and/or significantly cleaner reference speakers that will be more accurate and more powerful. Siri still hasn't matured to what I'd call usable yet. How long has that product been available? It's pretty astonishing. At lower volumes and with content that isn't bass rich they sound spacious and open. There is a bit of "slipperiness," I don't care for on the top end but it doesn't make them unusable. These have internal transformers for power so you're only going to have two regular plugs instead of another pair of wall warts pushing aa USB cord. The sound everywhere feature is nice but can be done for a heck of a lot less money while winning even more functionality. There is no audible room measuring process. I'm not sure it does anything or not but their site suggests it "knows," where it is in a room. There is no EQ or user adjustable settings someone with more experience or more particular preferences would want. The low end is flabby and undefined on EDM and trance. Does well with Classical and movies. There is a "reduce bass," option but it seemed to completely eliminate the low end. Getting to these and/or other home pod speakers is clunky and terribly unintuitive. Sumarizing I think you can get better speakers with more power and more features for a heck of lot less money. I am trapped in an all apple home infrastructure and they aren't up to par for price or function for me. I produce and engineer music and favor reference monitors. For this price you can get an entry level setup with a subwoofer. For around 300 you can get a pair of JBL305p. For another 400 you can get the 10" sub. If you want room correction IK Multidmedia sells the iLoud MTM as a pair with the mic for aoround 800. The Apple "it just works," doesn't anymore. It took some time to update the firmware and wasn't very informative while it was doing so. Way more expensive than they should be for what they are. If you have a picky ear and/or want features or access to features this isn't the product for you. If you're okay with the inflated price, the terrible user experience, and the flabby low end for EDM or if you're using it for TV or movies they're okay. For my money there are plenty of options that do what this product does for a fraction of the price. The small ones, for what they are, are pretty impressive. These didn't wow me like I wanted them to.

Great stand alone speaker, the spatial audio/Dolby atmos sounds great and actually travels around the room when watching movies. Even sounds good when far away but once you enter the center of the room it’s placed in it’s a whole different experience. Definitely going to make it a stereo pair soon.

Sounds great when paired with another HomePod. Very good bass and surround effects while watching movies and listening to music. I will buy another pair for another room.

This is a great addition to my living room. It is small, the sound is great and has better integration with my AppleTV than my soundbar did! As with all Apple prodcuts. it could do with a little bit more of a user manual, but once I figured out to look for it in my Home App, it was smooth sailing and very easy to use! I don't use a whole lot of "smart" home function, so I can't really speak to that, but it's a great speaker for my living room and/or music needs and it can listen to set a timer from quite far away!

Apple makes the best products. I like it better than the other HomePods. Better bass and clarity.

Sounds good and feels like a quality product. Siri isn’t perfect, but it works for the basic commands that the speaker is really designed for.

It’s worth it y’all. It’s big. I actually thought it was a medium size but it’s large. The sound is great and it connected easily so far. I turned the volume all the way and could hear it when I walked outside my front door. Very clearly lol
