Q: Could this be stained? If you won't say what parts of it are solid rubberwood, MDF, veneer, etc., at least specify if the surface could be sanded & re-stained. Solid rubberwood or veneer could be.

    Poor quality

    arrived damage but the box and packaging was intact. it was packed well. however on one corner the veneer was cracked and falling off. all the edges were very rough, like they didn’t finish sanding it. so it cut my finger and gave me a splinter. i got the oak color, maybe other colors were better. poor quality. Target handled it but i really wanted this work for our needs.

    Broken foot from this

    This stool is dangerous. It is a tipping hazard and fell on my foot and broke it. Target hasn’t given a refund on it for me and isn’t concerned at all about this product being an issue.

    Mine came very damaged on the corners and red paint on it but they’re out of stock so I can’t get a new one. Bummed.

    Dangerous tipping hazard

    This stool tipped forward while I was using it and caused me to fall. The design appears unstable when weight shifts onto the upper/front area. After recreating what happened, it seems the stool can rotate forward rather than staying planted. This is not safe for household use, especially around kids. I would not recommend it.

    For Moms Who Refuse Ugly Toddler Gear

    I bought this for my feral little children because I simply could not look at one more giant plastic toddler tower in my kitchen. This is actually cute, blends in with my decor, and still lets my tiny chaos agents “help” at the counter. Sturdy, functional, and infinitely more aesthetically pleasing than the usual eyesores. A win for the kids and my eyeballs.

    Purchased two of same color. One arrived with damage throughout, flaking wood on inner seams, and a split forming on inside. I also believe I was given the wrong color for one as seen by the photo with both next to each other.

    Great product not sure if it’s worth the amount but took 1 star because it was delivered without a box just wrapped in a few pieces of see through plastic outside my door. People including neighbor thought that I was giving it away!

    Incorrect color shipped to me

    Everything about this item is great except for the fact that the incorrect color was shipped to me. I ordered black and received natural. Not sure how/why this happened but I do not want to pack it back up and ship it or return it to my local Target. It is very heavy and unmanageable for me to even lift it into my vehicle. This is very disappointing as I wanted the black stool to blend with my decor.

    The surface got easily scratched. There wasn’t anything sharp or hard placed on it, not too sure of its durability. Overall it seems sturdy but haven’t used it much. I like that the bottom step can fold up, however it doesn’t lock. Not safe for children. The bottom step folds out, I picked it up to use in a different room and the bottom step hit my shin, that was painful!
