A: sure - it's made of sturdy plastic. i imagine, however, that the little foam circles would deteriorate over time if left out in wet weather.

Q: How does do you get this to lock open? I just got this and when I open it I don't see a way to lock it open. Mine just wants to close back up. How does it lock?

A: Hello, you have to fully open the ladder and follow the instructions for properly standing on the stool.

My life has flashed before my eyes twice while using this stool. After a month it has finally given out. 150 pounds of my weight blew the hinges right off although manufacturer's load criteria is 300pounds. It tucks away nicely tough that's why it gets 2 stars

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING!! This caused a trip to urgent care, crutches and a boot! It really should have an actual way to lock it open. It’s great it folds but do yourself a favor and buy a more stable one.
