Q: Is this all hard plastic and metal or does it have rubber on it? Hard to tell from the picture.

A: The grips on the step are currently rubber, but there is an engineering change going into effect that will eliminate that, making it truly all steel, as in the title.

A: I am not sure how to answer this, It can be, however, I am not sure who would be using this to know if they would be able to.

Q: Does this have a Prop 65 warning? Does it contain lead in any components?

A: It does not have or require a Prop 65 label and this is an interesting question. Proposition 65 focuses on safe harbor, or exposure, rather than the actual presence of a chemical, and lead would be more likely to occur in the surface coatings on a product such as this IF it was present at all. Because it would be hard-baked into the powder-coating, Certificate of Conformity testing would be done by a third party. There could be very small amounts of lead; a pass grade must be less than 90micrograms/kg. There could also be so little that the machine used for the testing is unable to detect it. If lead is present at all though, it would not be harmful unless you were able to remove and consume the powder-coat from the frame. Test results may be obtained, but because each pack date is individually tested, you would need to contact the manufacturer with your model number and pack date at customer.service@coscoproducts.com. A: The width between the handles is 12.125". The height is 8.875 and the center and about 8 inches closer to the sides.

FALL RISK! I fell off twice! Never again! I tried to inform Target that the item pictured (first 3) isn’t the correct product. It doesn’t have an anti slip step area and the feet are PLASTIC! It slid out from under me! DO NOT BIUY. Also, they wouldn’t exchange or refund. I’m upset and that the manufacturer is hard to reach!!! I have been trying since November of 2024! The one I show on the “right” I got a few years ago from Target (which matches the description, and first 3 photos they have on website) the one on the “left” is what I received with that order in Nov 2024, the one I have fallen off of! DO NOT BUY! Target is also NO HELP AND doesn’t seem to care that their information is INCORRECT and that people are getting hurt!!!

DECEPTIVE absolutely ridiculous it cost more in store
I would not have purchased this yesterday had i known i was paying 50% MORE IN STORE.. I ONLY went to target to purchase this because it was listed at $9.99. HOW IS THIS LEGAL? This is deceptive sales practice at the very least. HOW DOES THIS MAKE FINANCIAL SENSE? Its absolutely ridiculous that it cost 50% more in store. SO if i frequent your location im better off no longer walking in to your store to buy things.. You would rather pay someone to pick it off the shelf for me? and not only pay them to do it, but make 50% less off the item for doing more work? WHAT?!?!?! I feel Ripped off and Scammed by target. I am rethinking being a target customer, and its less than 5 minutes from my home. What is the point of visiting your store fronts if your going to treat customers that actually walk in to your stores like absolute trash. Dangerous Fall Risk
The bottoms of the stool legs are not rubber so unless you have carpet and you surface you put it on it's going to slide and that's exactly what happened as soon as I stood on it I can't believe that there's no rubber on the bottoms of those pegs.

I wish it were higher
For the price, it's terrific quality, stable, and sturdy, but I wish it were another inch or two higher. The fact that it folds is an added bonus, though I will store it in a corner of my study in the open position until needed to reach the highest bookshelves. I bought it because I can move it around by grabbing the top bar with a reacher tool, unlike other small step stools which are difficult to move about--you try using your foot, and they fall over and are difficult to right using your feet, and other folding ones collapse if you try to push them across a floor with your foot, and none have a convenient place to grab with a reacher tool--so you have to bend way down to use your hands, which also gets your hands dirty. I like to keep my hands clean when I handle my books.

I have vinyl flooring and the plastic feet have no grip so the stool freely slides on the floor and this is very unsafe. It would be good only if you are using it on a carpet floor. If the feet had good grip the stool itself is built good. I will be returning.
