Great for wasting staples
Boght this a few years back for putting the roofing felt on my house, and not tearing the felt like is done with a hammer-stapler. After ongoing problems with this jamming, I put it aside and returned to the hammer stapler. Putting some carpet in out house now, and dug this out to install the padding. After doing a bit of you-tue searching on hos to unjam the stapler, I did the disassembly, cleared the jam, and re-assembled. WEll, I'm lucky if I get get 3 or 4 staples in before the stapler jams again, and I have to remove the staple rail again to clear the jam. My analysis, plan on spending 75% of your time clearing the stapler, and only 25% or less actually throwing staples, and plan on throwing 50% of your staples directly into the trash can. For reference, my family owned a hardware for 50 years, and we sold Arrow staplers, they used to be the go-to brand, where did that quality go?

Had more misfires than made it through material.
The Powershot 5700 was driving the 1/4" staples fine, although I realized I needed longer staples for this project. I went with Arrow brand T50 #509 9/16" staples. I was expecting to drive them flush with a hammer, but the staples (3 out of 4) were getting mangled in the stapler. This required removal with a pair of pliers. The material I was attaching was landscape fabric into wood. I had a Powershot years ago which never gave me any trouble (besides a misfire now and then, usually on the last staples in the magazine). I am not sure if the quality has changed (for the worst) or what the issue is. One of the main reasons I purchased this product was because it is made in America. The other reason is that the ergonomic design is easier on the hands.

bad product
I purchased this item a few days ago and it constantly jams and requires clearing. It also shoots out staples multiple or jams. Just a very poor functioning stapler. I am truly disappointed.

The newer 5700m bad design
Dont like the staples are not exposed, used rivets instead of spot welding like previously 5700s used. Had powershots in the past 5700 and they were great shot many boxes worth of. The new one lasted 2 clips of staples and broke.

These PowerShot Forward Arrow staplers don't last very long.
This is my second one and it didn't last very long. I bought them to drive the 3/8 & 1/2" staples. I would say both lasted through two full loads of staples before they started jamming more and more often. The last one no longer releases the hammer/plunger unless you bang on it. Come to think of it, most of the arrow staplers didn't last as long as other company ones did.

Not worth $$$
I bought this power shot stapler as my replacement for my original arrow traditional stapler. It continuously jams staples, handle jambs, and is constantly being cleared of jams! I only use arrow staples. I am truly disappointed in this product. It’s now worth $$$! For my latest project building an outdoor rink for my kids, the stapler jammed continuously while I was stapling 6mm plastic to chip board. Most staples would not even go in. It was only -5C out… I should get my money back! Not happy,!
