1962 was a big year. Modernist design hit its peak and moved into homes across the country. And in Minnesota, Target was born — with the revolutionary idea to celebrate design for all. Project 62 embodies this legacy with a collection of modern pieces made for everyday living.
As others mentioned, this was VERY easy to assemble and seems sturdy. It presents as a much more expensive table than what I paid for. I am delighted! Awesome value and exactly what I was looking for (ability to extend table with a leaf). Thanks Target.
I love the design of this table and it was very easy to put together. But, as a few other customers have mentioned, it came with flaws. A large scratch down the middle and chips out of the veneer. The table has already been assembled and so I'm not sure I want to go through the trouble of returning if I'm going to receive another damaged table. Be aware that damage is likely.
Beautiful table. Great mid century design. I would have given this 5 stars but unfortunately it arrived with a crack in the table top. Which was a big bummer as this was an item me and my husband purchased as a wedding gift to ourselves and is the first piece we purchased for our home. And as it's a large item shipping it back would be a nightmare. So we'll try or best to fix it. But I stand by that it's a beautiful design.
Arrived slightly scratched but after having one meal at the table it was dented and scratched. Very soft tabletop/wood. It was very pretty but ended up being poor quality. Went against my gut and bought furniture at Target - it’s going back and we won’t be purchasing substantial furniture from there again.
Absolutely love this table - its built to last, REAL wood!, sturdy and beautiful design. It is darker than we expected but we love it anyway. HOWEVER, the way it is package is just not sufficient to protect the table from being damaged in transit. There are two rather inconvenient and very unfortunate scratches (on one of the legs and right at the edge of the table). We asked to return the item, but Target will not give us a new one until we send the old one back. Even if they do give you a label that covers the cost, we are not going to go through the inconvenience of repacking and returning this very heavy item. Good value for money and quality, but be prepared to receive a damaged item.
