I bought this after significant research and it does not disappoint in any way. I use it with a Mac Mini M4 and the Better Display app. I have no issues with flickering or blurring. I have not tried to calibrate it yet but the colours seem vibrant and true. My previous 13 year old 1080p PA246 Q ProArt monitor is still going strong and in use with my old computer so that experience helped my decision making. I calibrated that one regularly and it always stayed very close to proper colour for professional photo printing.

I have just started editing my first batch of photos last night and found the colour accuracy superior to another monitor I own. My legacy monitor cost 3 times what I paid for my ASUS. More expensive isn’t always better.

Great monitor for working Photoshop. Also great crisp text in other programs. But if I sit to close there is some slight falloff on the short edges.

Very happy with this display. The colors are great. The adjustability of the display's angle to the stand is very good as well.

Just connected this new monitor to my new Apple Mac Mini M2Pro. It is amazing, a great alternative to the very expensive Apple display. After many hours of research I am very confident that I made the right decision in buying this monitor. Connected a certified 4k HDMI cable to the port plug it in and it was perfect from the start, Love the front controls and joystick for adjustments even though it did not require any out of the box.

Menu button is a big step forward, but how to use it and make adjustments make the monitor usability much worse than before. Probably will return the monitor.

Calibration of ProArt PA279CRV

I purchased this monitor because it displayed/used Adobe RGB which is the standard for Lightroom/Photoshop editing. After setting up the monitor, I wanted to check out how I would be able to Calibrate this monitor in the future and could only find ProArt Chroma Tune which only switches from sRGB to Adobe RGB, etc. If anyone can tell me if I can use Pantone ColorVision SpyderPro to calibrate this monitor when the time comes to do so, I would appreciate it. In the mean time I am enjoying this monitor.

Excellent monitor for the price. Calibrated it with Adobe RGB but wish it had auto color space switching software like the Dell's do as Windows is mostly color managed but not the desktop and a few other areas which look oversaturated. But Lightroom and Photoshop shined.

ASUS ProArt Display PA279CRV: The good and the bad

The good news; This screen is very sharp, very clear, and it has excellent positioning capabilities. It gives me a huge amount of control over it’s color balance, and I have a lot more real estate to work with. I like those features a lot. The bad news: this screen is much too dim, unless you’re working in a pretty dark room. I have to close all the blinds and turn off all the lights to be able to see what I need to see on this screen. If this screen was two or three times brighter I would give it 5 stars easily.

I bought this monitor the day it went live because I had already landed on buying the previous model. Luckily I’m doing research I was able to not actually make the purchase before this updated model was released. I have been very pleased with the quality and features of it. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality model for a reasonable price!
