Great travel add-on
At home, my laptop drives 3 large fixed screens through its docking station. But when I'm on the road, I felt a bit limited just using the laptop screen. After checking out my options, I chose this ASUS model and it's great so far! Size is similar to my laptop's display, brightness is good, almost no setup is required, and it seems well-designed and physically rugged (buttons will survive travel!). Another bonus is the cover/stand. Once I figured it out, it works well whether the display is in landscape or portrait orientation, and when I use it to cover the display, it stays on securely and the display fits in my laptop case without scratching the laptop! I'm pleased with the choice. I may even use it as a fourth monitor at home.

Not what I was looking for
Not what I needed. This device isn’t what I was looking for, I need a device that I can use for my video games.

Great second monitor for work projects
Purchased to use as a second monitor when traveling. Thin, light and fits in the laptop case. Easy setup. Like the USB-C connection and ability to view landscape or portrait. Expected a sharper screen and bolder colors as a 1080 IPS panel, but at the price point I paid my expectation was not realistic.

Display great But
Look this display had potential good size portable but the fact it has a single USB C that provides power and video I'm a bit let down. I bought a Display port to C cable and it wont work you have to use their software to send the image to this device. If it had the option for power via a different means and allowed the USB C to be a video input that would have would have helped tremendously. Secondly The placement of the USB C is in an awkward position/location. Given the MSRP you would think it would have a bell or whistle but it falls short way short. I'm not saying this is a bad monitor on the contrary the image quality is great and it does what it is supposed to and for the right price its well worth a pickup. But for its retail price there are many other options that offer roughly the same picture quality more ports and better price.

Dear W0rd0fg0d, Absolutely, this monitor is a good size for portability. We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused if it doesn't work. This monitor is plug and play. Most likely, the internal battery doesn't have a charge if it doesn't output a video signal. Please leave the monitor connected to the laptop or PC until the internal battery was charged. The monitor's built-in utility software will pop up on the screen, on a cold boot, to show the percent charge of the monitor. Additionally, please check if the video cable is working properly and the monitor was properly selected inside the Display Properties. Unable to find and download display widget to turn screen. Went to your website and could not find it for this screen size. Why was this not built into the screen software.

To resolve the issue, please check if the PC meets the system requirements of the monitor. If it does meet requirements, please check if the OS, chipset and video drivers for the PC are up to date. Also, install the driver if you are not using a Type C DP alt mode video signal output. Does not work!
This doesn't work because it says I need to install a driver. When I install the new driver it says my driver is up to date. There is no one to call or get in touch with.

Widget/app not opening - Not rotating
I love everything except for some reason my monitor doesn’t always auto-rotate. Last week I had trouble opening the widget to change my screen orientation. I had to uninstall and download again. That helped but now I can’t open the widget again. Annoying.

Exactly what I needed
This monitor is exactly what I needed. Super easy to use. Just plug and play. Works perfectly with both my Windows laptops. Colors are sharp. Lightweight and easy to pack in my briefcase. I did purchase a sleeve to put it in. I wanted additional protection for it. The hole in the bottom is said to be a place to put a pen to act as a makeshift stand. Tested it out, and it's not at all stable. Would work in an emergency, but I would not recommend for long term use.

A Good Monitor at a Good Price
I use an external monitor at home with my MacBook Pro, and realized I needed a portable monitor for working remotely. I researched various models and settled on the Asus ZenScreen MB16ACE and I'm glad I did. It has a good, clear screen, connects effortlessly to the MacBook via the included USB-C cable, and is extremely thin and light. The included case doubles as a stand. Highly recommended.

Touring monitor
Perfect screen for on the go. I'm a lighting programmer in theater and this screen helps me turn my laptop into a console in no time at all. No battery life but I knew that going in, powers up via the connection to your laptop. Light weight, and definitely like the fact that it comes with a cover/stand. Highly recommend.
