A: Hi, Sorry for the confusion. The measurements are composed on the dress being flat and not stretched, also only the front of the dress is measured. Total length of the dress is from the highest point of the shoulder to the end of the skirt. The chest is measured one inch under the armhole, the waist is measured flat not stretched. The bodice of the dress is from the highest point of the shoulder to the waist. When you measure yourself you can reference our size chart and double our measurements to get the all around measurements or you can divide your all around measurements in half.

This dress is cheaply made with thin fabric - especially considering the price tag. I will be returning it. I really dislike the fact that Target is now using 3rd party vendors to sell clothes - low, fast-fashion quality.
