My 1 year old son LOVES this thing. He plays it every night after we lay him down to go to sleep, and when he wakes up in the morning he turns it on and watches it. My only complaint is that we have to tighten it back up to his crib pretty often because the legs are just slightly off to the bars and it loosens when he pulls on it. But it's been months that he's been obsessed with it, and it hasn't come off, so it's a very minor issue.

not for bedtime
look. this toy is cute, I like for tummy time during the day as my baby loves it. however, & I feel like no one really mentions this, this toy is so freaking bright and loud! as it is we don't use a lot of plastic, light up/play music toys like this, so maybe I'M not used to it. But for a toy that is supposed to be used as a soother at night; I don't understand how any baby is supposed to go to sleep with this. I had to put towels on the back where the sound comes out to try and muffle it a little so it wasn't so loud, nothing to do about how bright it is but jeez. if there was a lower volume option, maybe a way to manually dim the light (i know it softens every 10 minutes) I think it would be better for bedtime. I feel like this is equivalent to sticking an ipad in my kid's face & don't understand how this is okay to help babies fall asleep.

Does not work correctly
Loud squeaking noise from the moving toy inside when it’s on. It’s louder than the music itself so that’s annoying because it’s not able to “soothe”. Hopefully will get a replacement soon, but the fact that I have to get one is also annoying. I wish the product arrived functioning correctly.

Cute toy, but poorly secured and dangerous once baby can stand
This toy is cute and my baby really likes it. However, it does not secure to the crib well. There is just one strap with a button that barely holds it. Now that my 9 month old can pull to stand, if he puts a little weight on the toy, it just comes undone and falls off without even pushing the button to undo the strap. The toy is pretty heavy, so this is not safe. We took it out.

Dangerous
Do not buy! I was shocked and disappointed to discover that, when I opened the back, the coil had melted onto the battery and a yellow substance was leaking out. I purchased this brand-new in March, and there is absolutely no reason it should have failed so dangerously after only a few months. To make matters worse, I’m now past the return window for both Target and the manufacturer. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident but a recurring and serious defect.

Soothing and timeless!
Soothing and timeless! I originally used the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother for my kids when they were little—it always helped calm them down and put them right to sleep. They’re older now, but I recently bought it again for my great-niece, and it still works like magic! The music and lights are so peaceful and comforting. Definitely a must-have for any nursery!
