Kid interferes with the handlebar

It's not well designed. The kid would have to be very short so that they don't interfere with the handlebar. My 3yo is a 7%er in height and she doesn't fit. And of course, it means you can't have anything hanging down off the handlebar, like cup holders.

Makes stroller hard to use

I have had a City Mini 2 for a few years, and I really love it. When our second child was on the way it made sense to buy the glider board. However, the glider board makes the stroller almost impossible to use. You need to stand ridiculously far from the handle and take tiny little steps in order to avoid kicking the board. There's no way this was product tested with the City Mini 2. I can't speak for the other models it's "compatible" with, but don't bother if you have the City Mini 2. We used it twice, read the instructions, adjusted it, etc. We won't be using it again.

Horrible design

They clearly never actually tested this product out. There is nowhere for a kid to stand - their face is in the back of the stroller or in the handle bar. I had the board fully extended, and my kid stuck his head between the seat back and the handle bar bc nowhere else for his head to go, and even still he was arching his back and holding on for dear life. It throws off the balance of the stroller so it wants to tip over backwards (toward the handle bar), which is so incredibly unsafe. Absolutely unusable, useless. Really disappointing.

I bought this last week for my toddler who likes to skateboard and to save for future use with our future baby. It snaps well onto our citi mini GT (it doesnt list it on the main product page but when you scroll down it does.) There is no space for him to place his head between the stroller and the handle bars. Or it doesnt pull out enough for him, which causes him to lean back and hold on for dear life. (If it doesn't tip.)

My kiddos are 4 years apart so I bought this thinking it would be great for my older. The product itself is easy to install and well made, however; it’s so difficult to push the stroller when a kid is standing on the glider. There’s no room to step. Good idea, poor execution by Baby Jogger. Did anyone test this out before putting it on the market?!

Just ok

This attachment is just ok. I was super excited to get it for my son as he’s getting tired of riding in the stroller. Some issues I’ve had are that when he’s riding on it the stroller tips backwards very easily. Obviously I’m right behind him so I can just push it up, but it’s not ideal. The glider is well made but I guess just not a good fit for us.

Poor body mechanics

We LOVE the idea of this but the mechanics hardly work for us to use this with our 3 year old. My husband and I either have to push with our arms completely extended, or One of us pushing the handle on each side of our child, making it very difficult to push for long walks. I would love to talk to somebody from customer support or the design team, as we would love to make our stroller work longer for our three young kids! We started out with a city mini, and now have a city select with two seats and this board.

Not as versatile!

This product is sturdy so 2 stars for that, but the wheels suck. You cannot use this very well if you’re on a surface that isn’t smooth/flat. It also removes some of the walking space so I feel like the stroller handle bars should have an extension to compensate for that loss. Hopefully the R&D Team takes a look at this product.

Disappointing design

We have been so delighted with our City Mini GT for more than 2 years. We recommend it to everyone and have loved how light, sturdy and versatile it is. So when our second baby came along, we jumped at the chance to adapt it for our toddler and infant using the glider board. I’m so disappointed to find that it really doesn’t work well with the mini GT at all. In order to make room for our 27 month-old’s head, the handlebar has to be flipped all the way up, which makes pushing the stroller uncomfortable. We also have to shorten our stride so that our feet don’t hit the board. Both of these issues might be resolved with a handlebar extension, but no such product is available. Anyway, it pains me to write a bad review because we live our city mini GT and all our other baby jogger accessories so much, but I’m just so disappointed with the glider - and it was not cheap. :(

Great for City Select, bad for City Mini GT2

When this was used with my City Select it worked like a charm. If you have a City Select I recommend this. When I tried using it with my City Mini GT2 it was not usable. The board was at an angle and my son couldn’t stand on it. I do not recommend for a City Mini GT2

Difficult to use with City Mini GT, plastic broke

2 out of 5 stars
Broken Glider Owner - 4 years ago
originally posted on babyjogger.com
This is a difficult board to use with the City Mini GT due to the size of the handle. We have to adjust the handle all the way up for our son to ride on it and then he can't see. He doesn't like having to ride on it but can if necessary. The bigger problem is that it broke within a year. The plastic cracked where the wheel connects and now the whole thing wobbles and is very difficult to steer. Unusable with our son on it.

Great stroller addition for older kids

5 out of 5 stars
Alyssa F - 4 years ago
originally posted on babyjogger.com
This is just what I needed and have been wanting for a while. It makes it so easy for my kiddos to just jump on quick. Only downside is that it takes up a lot of room for the parent to walk so it’s a little awkward. Also, the weight limit is 45 lbs so my 5 year old is going to be too big for it pretty quickly.
