Q: Can the car seat be used without the base in a car?
A: Yes, I've strapped it into other family members' cars (ones who don't have a base of their own) without the base easily. There are 2 strap loops on each side of the car seat where you can loop the seat belt across the car seat and then snap the belt. However, if this is your main car, it is much easier to use the base. The EZ lift button is a 1 sec maneuver, which I LOVE.

Q: Forward facing and rear facing compatible?
A: Hello! The rear of the car seat rests on the support tabs. Therefore, you must position the infant car seat so that it faces toward the rear of the stroller.
