Q: Can you mount this above the baseboard, or does it need to rest on the floor?

A: I looked at the owners manual on Wayfair and the mounting hardware is only for the anti tip safety feature. I believe this is a heavy floor book shelf.

A: There are two screws at the lowest "branches" that screw onto the wall. We have it and it survived our toddler literally pulling with all his power.

Q: I am hoping to refinish the bookcase to match our nursery paint color and Babyletto does not sell an unfinished version. Has anyone had luck sanding, priming and repainting their bookshelf?

A: I have never tried, but my friend who is in industrial design program said that she can easily repaint my tree bookcase, so it is definitely possible. I think you can take a try on the white or washed natural.

A: You can look at the instruction manual in pdf version on babyletto website. Height of the shelf kind of varies for each one, but it should be around 8.25 to 10 inches.

The bookshelf is very sturdy and well built. We anchored it into wall studs and it is very secure to the wall. We were considering cutting the baseboards for a flush look, but it looked perfect without.

This bookcase was a great surprise because the shelves are actually larger than we thought. It is darling in a baby's room and holds a lot of books, secures to the wall. We got it as a group gift for a friend and she was very pleased! She is a teacher and part of her gifts were books from each of us. Novel idea!

I absolutely love this book case. It’s so cute and unique. The wood is very sturdy and actually heavier than I thought. It was pretty easy to put together. My husband did have to go buy some additional screws because the ones it comes with are not good. We also have baseboards so that was a challenge but we made it work. Overall I love the product.

I love the way it looks but was extremely disappointed once we first started to put it together. It would not adhere to the wall with the screws included because of our baseboard. My Dad is a handy man and went to the hardware store to get something called "Bear Claw Hanger w/anchors" by Hangman (holds up to 80 lbs) for a few bucks. He used these in place of the ones that came with it and it worked perfectly (baseboard in the way and all)!! We have about 50 books stacked all over it and it hasn't budged. I tried wiggling it and it is very secure. I hope this helps others because I was devastated when I thought we were going to have to return it.

Overall quality is very good. Arrived in perfect condition and is made from very sturdy wood. It is really very heavy. The wall anchors that come with the bookcase are a total joke, they came right out of the wall. Easy fix, you just need to get your own wall anchors or be sure to attach it to studs. We love this bookcase, it's the perfect size for a nursery or toddler room to put a few books and toys on.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this was too cute to pass up. I put it together in just a few minutes no problem. Assembly was a piece of cake. Comes with an Allen wrench for assembly, so no tools needed until it's time to hang on the wall. It is much heavier than I was expecting, very high quality materials! It comes with 2 brackets you attach to the lowest 2 branches which we will be then screwing into studs on the wall.

Cute. Good size (width and height), sturdy and easy to install. Beware that if you have baseboards, there will be trouble screwing it to the wall unless you screw it ABOVE the baseboard.
