South Georgia trailer trash to owning an abandoned luxury subdivision on the north coast of Florida, Becca Sue floats along on a sea of low expectations. So she can't figure out why folks always seem so disappointed?Book Synopsis
Growing up as just plain ol' trailer trash in South Georgia, Becca Sue has floated along on a sea of low expectations for 30 years. Now she's washed up on the coast of Florida, but not on the beach. She finds herself in an unfinished luxury subdivsion which her ex-husband dumped when the market went south, just like he dumped her. Her rich, northern neighbors want to get out their mess of a neighborhood, where they have cows as neighbors and no immenities. Becca Sue tries to ignore their plight, and hers, with alcohol and sex. And as usual, it works, but only for a while. When her ex-husband's teen age kids get dumped on her she rallies, just long enough to really mess things up. She ends up with two paths in front of her to choose from. One, a radical idea for a whole new kind of neighborhood which will require a lot of work. A lot of work. And Two, a whole new life in a whole new place, but one she might be too comfortable with already. Decisions have never been Becca Sue's strong point.
