The lamp base is beautiful. That deserves a 5. The shade is well made but inappropriately large for the lamp. Lamps Plus must have known this because I was immediately sent an email showing more appropriate shades. I did buy new shades, but not from Lamps Plus.

The lamp is exactly as pictured. The background is a mottled look, not pure white, which is what I wanted. The lampshade looks like silk and looks beautiful when the lamp is on. The metal base is a lovely burnished brass look. Love it!
