Q: I bought this because you said "it is made from PP (Polypropylene). It is BPA, PVC and phthalate-free." The rubbery sauce toppings and tong tips feel and smell like vinyl. Are they PVC? If not, what?

This ice cream set is really cute, I love the variety of ice cream “flavors” along with the different topping options. The cones are a good size for small hands and the first scoop clicks right on. The ice cream sandwiches are a really nice touch, too. My only complaint is when you stack the scoops they don’t stay together. They slide right off, which is frustrating. The whole point is to make all these different combinations but they just keep sliding off. My kids don’t seem to mind too much, surprisingly. But, I do think it makes them lose interest much faster than they typically would. That’s my only complaint, otherwise I’d say the set is perfect.

Choking hazard
My 1 year old granddaughter had near miss event. The ice cream scoop part got lodged in her jaw and was occluding her airway. Mom found her in the nick of time and quickly dislodged out of her mouth. Toddler was blue and vomited all over. Thank god she is ok Hard to believe this large object got stuck in her mouth.

Great Ice Cream Playset!
The playset came with so many different pieces which allows creativity for a child. The play money wasn't made of paper so it doesn't rip easily. The quality of everything was great in my opinion. My niece really enjoys playing with this as she loves role-playing. Don't forget to cut out the cardboard coupons that's on the box it comes in!
