You see, back in the day, before smartphones and social media, our fans spoke to us via handwritten notes pinned to the bulletin boards at our Scoop Shops. It was sometime in 1986 when one such fan was persistent enough to mail a postcard to our main office in Burlington, Vermont. Super premium ice cream meets great guitar solos? It was genius, and Ben immediately began creating the iconic concoction.
Cherry Garcia debuted in 1987 and quickly became one of our top three most popular flavors. In fact, the first eight ice cream pints went straight to Mr. Garcia himself and were met with two thumbs up. As for the fan who sent the anonymous postcard? Our sleuths found her and thanked her with a trip to Vermont and a year's supply of Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

Cherry Garcia is a good cherry ice cream. Not as good as the dark cherry from Thrifty, though. It has an ok amount of cherries and chocolate. What would make it better is more cherry flavor in the actual ice cream.

After a long hard shift at my very easy job there’s nothing better than some blinkers and a pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. I like the cherries in the ice cream because they feel healthy.

Literally my favorite ice cream. Ben & Jerry’s is my favorite ice cream brand and Cherry Garcia is always my go to. Every single time the texture is perfect, it’s packaged well, and it is the best tasting thing on this world. Serving size could be larger as now I have to buy myself two cartons after eating one in a single sitting. There are no lies either. Ben & Jerry’s is amazing at full transparency when it comes to their ingredients.

This is my all time favourite ice cream. The flavour, the texture and the chunks of cherry and chocolate are perfect. I just wish I could find it in shops near me!! The only place that I know of is the Odeon cinema 😢

It’s one of my favorite flavors till this day. I already love when cherry season comes around, but i feel like this is the perfect makeup for it when cherry season is over. It has the right balance of cherries and chocolate. It’s also just enough in the container to enjoy a few times. Give it a try if you haven’t already.

Ben & Jerry’s is Vermonts finest ice cream. The Cherry Ice Cream with Cherries & Fudge Flakes is delicious. Serving size is one pint and that’s perfect for a quick ice team fix for two servings. I was not sure about the cherry and chocolate flakes but it was quite creamy and flavors meshed perfectly. I’m not a big ice cream fan but once in awhile I like an ice cream fix to satisfy my sweets craving.

This is my absolute favorite ice cream. Love that it has bits of cherry and chocolate and that the ice cream part isn’t just plain vanilla it’s cherry vanilla. It’s smooth and creamy and no overly sweet.

The driver did not bother to let me know that they had left the order outside on an 80 plus degree day and when I went to just check because it seemed they were late.There, it sat and my ice cream was melted.How incredibly frustrating that they can't even bother to let you know that they've delivered the order!
