To prolong the life of the product and preserve the leak-proof seal, we highly recommend hand washing with warm water and soap rather than placing it in the dishwasher. Please also note that this container is not microwave safe. Due to condensation, it’s possible for water to become trapped inside the lid. To remove the trapped water, you can try pressing the valve on the lid and giving the container a gentle shake. I have issues with this item. It is larger than I expected and holds more food than I usually eat for a meal. The lid easily becomes cross threaded and is then hard to get off, especially because it is so smooth on the outside and is too large for me to hold comfortably in my hand so I can take the lid off. And even after I preheated the container before putting in the hot food my food is still barely warm by lunch. I am quite disappointed by these results.

The flask is poorly made. The lid is very difficult to open and the plastic lid is not durable as it breaks easily. Rendering the whole flask useless.

1. Difficult to close 2. Does not keep food cold. Unsure if it’s leak proof because I haven’t sent anything that would leak to lunch, with my kid. I do boil water and preheat to container and the food 5 hours later is cold.

This is one of the worst lunchboxes I’ve ordered.. The lid is so dysfunctional to close or open it must be defective, this cannot be the intended function. It looks stylish, it is a little taller than ideal size, but has good width. But with the lid issues it’s unusable for us and had to return.

I have 2 of these and noticed some black stuff coming out of the lid where the vent button is. I broke open the lids and the inside of the lid is hollow and both are filled with mold. I attempted to contact Bentgo & explained the situation and got back 1 e mail about how to clean a bentgo plastic box, not a thermos, and then when I e mailed back again I got another e mail about how to clean a humidifier. Thanks for no help. We will not be using these ever again since every time you press the vent button you are getting mold on your food and there is no way to clean inside the lid without breaking it.

I like the space of the item. However, it doesn't keep food hot for long period of time I prepare my meal around 7 am and eat lunch around 11:30 & it's Luke warm not hot no steam coming out of jar when opened.

Not sure about the pressure release on this one. Because it's right under the handle, it really is a huge challenge to press while turning the handle. My husband had to twist the cover off the first time we opened it, because the seal was so tight.
