I love these they’re so good but we keep losing the plastic plug. It would be so great if they were sold separately. Meantime we’ve just ordered another one.

I love the look of the Bentgo MicroSteel Lunch Box, but I was disappointed that the paint chipped right when I removed the warning label. Other than that, it has a nice design and seems well-made.

Love the items, but the opening mechanism needs work
I haven’t used the item yet, but I’ve attempted to open it a few times and the little flap that’s meant to open. It comes off most of the time. I can see that if it has food in it how it might spill while trying to attempt to get the lid off.

Difficult to open
This microwave steel lunchbox is great, but is very difficult to open. My second grader always has to ask for help, and it takes me a couple tries. I was hoping it would get easier over time (even for me), but it hasn't, so I'll need to find an alternative for school. Lunch is very short, can't waste time waiting for a teacher to come help. Aside from that, I LOVE this lunchbox! Arthritic hands might struggle, too.

Not microwave safe. Not dishwasher safe
This is not microwave safe. I purchased this a little over half a year ago and have used it less than 20 times. I I followed all the directions for care. There was film peeling [annoying given the price but tolerable] but I specifically bought this because the base was labeled as microwave safe. In less than 10 seconds of microwave at the normal setting, it sparked with scorch marks on the side of the base and the scorch marks in the microwave. Luckily I was monitoring and stopped it right away. Not safe .

Not microwave safe!! Warning!!
NOT MICROWAVABLE!!!!!! We bought this container because it states it was microwave safe. Let me tell you it is NOT!! Started a fire in our microwave, and no the lid was not on it. Luckily we were right there. Now need to replace our microwave.

Hard to open for kids
This container is cute , practical, very hard to open , my son is 10 and struggled opening it . It’s for school . As an adult I had a hard time . It might seal good but for kids it’s not easy.

Gave my food a chemical taste and very hard to open
This is the worst lunch box I have ever tried. It is EXTREMELY difficult to open, even with pulling the little air valve. When I warmed up my food in the microwave for the first time, the box gave my food this awful chemical taste and weird smell. I’m not sure if I just have sensitive taste, or if this box was defective. Honestly, just get any other lunch box, don’t fall for the “stainless steel” gimmick.

Defective product - not dishwasher safe
This would be a good product of the plastic coating did not flake off. If you read the reviews, you will see that the product is defective. Either they need to find a new coating (why does plain stainless even need a coating) or make it clear it is not dishwasher safe because it is obviously not.

Works BUT Coating Peels Massively
Great idea - size is perfect, and nice to be able to microwave it. BUT, we have the black container, and t is very worrisome to see so much of the coating peeling! Very concerned about this getting in our food. So definitely do NOT get the colored containers. I'd get this again but will only get the stainless steel.
