Q: How far will the handrails protrude into the room if I collapse the ladder and stand it against a wall? Can I tuck it away into a narrow recess for storage?

A: There's no arguing it's bulk, once folded but it's relatively low profile and can be easily stood-up within a closet or pantry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delivery was quick. I ordered this ladder because it is safe---with handles to help balance. I even asked how heavy it was, and 23.5 pounds sounded okay. But I returned it because I realized it would be way too heavy for me to move around.

Safety
I am 70 years old and live by myself. I needed something to climb that had safety in mind. This ladder is perfect. There was a little putting together myself and was no problem for me. Thanks for this ladder. I tried climbing it and am very satisfied.

Very Heavy, unstable
If you are a senior please be advised that this ladder is very heavy. I wanted to return it but it is so heavy and bulky I could not get it into my car to return to target. Also this is a third party item, which means target is not ultimately responsible and good luck working with Best Choice company, they have only a 60 day warranty. There are many other good ladders to purchase in this price range. Do not buy this one.

Decent quality
You can’t beat it…for the price. It’s a little wobbly (one leg was shorter than the others) but I solved that problem with a felt pad on the bottom of the leg.. The steps are nice and wide and the handle at the top adds extra security.

It was dented and paint was missing from the dent. I sent an e-mail with a request for an RMA # e-mail upon receipt but never got a response so I put it together and keeping it. I feel I should get some credit back but apparently you don't!

Love this ladder!!
As a senior citizen I have been wanting one of these ladders for years. Since we have similar shorter ones, I never bought one. Then I saw the price on this site and did not hesitate! Love being able to hold onto the top bar for safety.

Just have to put handles an top bar on it! It even has a bag that will accommodate your tools! It is very easy to get up and down off of. I would recommend this ladder to all of my friends!!

Very happy with this ladder
The ladder is plenty tall to safely reach fixtures in my 8ft. high ceiling. Sturdy construction. Only drawback is that it is a little heavy to move around. If some components were of aluminum, then it would be a little lighter. The tool bag was missing from the box and I haven't found a way, other than returning and reordering the ladder to get it, which is stupid. It should be easier to get a superfluous part than that. s
