I'm pretty good at assembling furniture and I would say this is not a piece for beginners. It has about 30 screws and 30 cam bolts. I was about 2/3 through when I had a section that just would not work. The hole for the wood dowel was off and a cam lock would not tighten. I had to return it.

For sturdiness, it gets A++. This is one of the absolutely one of the sturdiest pieces of furniture I have ever bought and put together. It is very durable and serves its purpose extremely well. Lots of storage and looks great!
