Betty Crocker Batchables Brownie Mix - 29.5oz

Bought this item in August 2025 and was expired since December 2024. Shameful I don’t check the exp date, but more shame on Target for selling an item 8 months expired. Wanted to return it but couldn’t.

When I opened my container, the contents were full of rock like clunks. I had to stab with a sharp object to break up to make powder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging box was very convenient, the flavor was delicious! baking instructions are clear and easy to prepare since it needs only 1 ingredient apart from the mix.

Pretty decent for an instant brownie, but I wish there were options for alternative cooking methods like microwave or toaster oven. Especially for smaller batches which wouldn’t be feasible in a big oven.

Listen, I am a sweet treats kind of girl. I’ll taste dessert over a meal any day, any time, any place. That said, these are disgusting. Absolutely garbage. Nasty, bland, and bad all at once. I even tried adding more chocolate and chips (I’m a baker and can usually doctor things up to my playability) but these can’t be saved. Will definitely be throwing this container out. Also, I can see why there were so many paid reviews for these early on. These suck.

I would like to suggest, instead of using cups tablespoons for the liquid measurement, just use total ounces. Less messy, and more accurate, as some may try to use a dry measure cup.

I really liked the concept of smaller batchables but I absolutely hated the taste - very cheap tasting. I made a 6 batch in a muffin tin using paper muffin cups. They did not come out cleanly - they were practically glued to the paper.

These taste so sad. Bland. No one in my family enjoyed them. I bought them for the ease of making a few at a time. It’s not worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brownie mix was way to use only required water or milk so it is a quick option. It felt drier than other mixes but the end result tasted good. I didn’t love the packaging it is bulky and once opened didn’t keep the freshness I felt if you didn’t make the whole batch.

Not a fan of these baked in a 8x8 pan. Baked for 35 minutes and the edges are hard but the middle is very gooey... almost like it's not done. The ones I baked in a muffin tin were fine. If I want an 8x8 brownie mix I'll stick to Betty's regular mixes.

I also like that you only need to add milk or water - makes it easy for someone like me who has a hard time cooking/baking. You can customize the amount you make with easy to read measurements and make either a lot or a little. It's totally up to you.
