An incredible story of perseverance despite the pain and struggle
I truly enjoyed the insight BTS has offered us into their journey for the past 10 years. It hasn't been an easy path, the road was covered in obstacles and sometimes enormous brick walls. Despite being looked down on by the industry and ignored as a 'group that will never make it', BTS has proven everyone wrong with their incredible work ethic, ambition, and raw talent. I recommend this book to anybody who is even somewhat interested in what it was like becoming the greatest pop group of our century.

Engaging Read For ARMY and non-ARMY Alike
I’ve always thought BTS was a prime candidate for sociological study (7 very different people living/growing together for 10+ years in a fishbowl environment--at the advent of social media, no less!), a marketing case study (both in innovative strategies as well as in consumer behavior), and psychological analysis (how some individuals manage to overcome fraught situations and relationships with positive impact.) This book touches on all of that. The members' personal reflections add so much here. They read like insight into their souls—so honest and real, just as fans have come to know them; and the book draws a clear line between this introspection and the creation of each album--even to the creation of individual songs. QR codes placed strategically throughout the book link to relevant videos and blog posts, creating an engagingly interactive experience. I thought i was drawn to the “Map of the Soul”, “Wings”, “Love Yourself” and “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” albums for their psychological, literary, social, and coming of age references. Then I thought it was how BTS mixed multiple genres in one song, as they’ve made me more open to (and even enjoy) some musical genres I didn’t care for at first. But I still couldn’t articulate why i felt such a profound connection while exploring their music. This book helps me see that it’s the band members’ emotional depth and introspective thoughts laid bare through music, lyrics, dance, and videos that truly touch me. As people, we are drawn to and touched by universally experiential stories. It’s that very humanness that BTS demonstrates and communicates so well that resonates with and draws loyal fans from all over the world. This book continues that trend.
