    Food okay but packaging needs attention

    Second time we've bought it. Flavor is good. Packaging was fine when bought but while in my freezer, the adhesive on bag released and when I picked it up, contents spilled everywhere. Try cleaning up rice/quinoa particles!

    Fast Tex-Mex meal: vegetarian or added meat

    Go to fast meal or goes into an enchilada casserole. I usually buy 2 when I can find them, so there will be one in the freezer

    Bring back old recipe please

    This has been a weekly lunch staple for me for years. But something has changed, it's not the same recipe. There is hardly any sauce and is now mostly rice. I'm disappointed.

    Southwest Style Power Blend

    Picked this up for dinner last night after seeing someone grab it out of the freezer case and was pleased with the ingredients list. Quick cook in the microwave so I was excited to try after a long day. After the recommended 5 min cook and 1 min cool down, it was dry and tasteless, only remnants of southwest sauce on package, none in the food. Excellent price but likely won’t purchase again. Disappointing.

    I bought this two days ago there is no southwest sauce in it at all. I have always liked your products except for sometimes the bags leak several times actually but I still bought it but this one that I just bought has absolutely no sauce in it at all it’s dry not even sure if it’s good enough to eat Really disappointed !!!     Power Blend

    Bird's Eye is my go to brand for quality and healthy ingredients. This Southwest Style Power Blend is a delicious mix of brown rice, white quinoa, black beans, corn, and red bell peppers in a zesty southwest style sauce. You can use this for a variety of different dishes and recipes. It cooks up in the bag perfectly and provides 15g of protein per serving. I'll definitely be purchasing again and again and highly recommend.

    Do not buy

    This is the most grossest thing I’ve ate, I was really looking forward to this meal to be disappointed and let down. The “zesty sauce” you can’t taste it at all it’s not bold or anything. Save your money and don’t buy

    Great meal for Vegans!

    I buy many bags every month. I don't know what people are talking about as far as a recipe change but I love it just the way it is I think it's reasonably priced it's a good meal that has great nutrients in it so I would recommend it fully.

    great quick side or base for a meal-- our fave!

    A staple in our house. Quick, easy (once adding a bit of seasoning and cheese) with good nutrients. Also love that it is allergen free. With a little chicken on top, makes a quick meal also

    Bring back the old recipe

    I used to buy this all of the time for a quick easy side, but I hate the change to the recipe. Please bring back the version with the lentils and less rice. Tasted way better and had more protein/fiber. It’s annoying to have to add my own lentils, makes it much less of a quick and easy meal

    Awful packaging

    The taste is pretty good for a precooked meal. The bad part is the awful packaging. I have had two split apart on the back seam. Once when putting into freezer (what a mess!) and once it was open when I picked up my order. Since I have only purchased 10, that is a 20% failure rate. To bad because it is a filling easy prep meal.

    Bought the southwest power with the beans and corn for the first time. What are the little white circular looking things that look like tiny macaroni in it? It doesn't appear in the picture.

    Disappointing change!!!!

    Before the company changed this product, I bought multiple bags at the time. It was so GOOD and so easy. I made a dish using it for church and many other events. The dish was always one of the first to be eaten up! I even had people buying multiple bags at the time. Now none of us purchase it. So disappointing!!!!! WHY the change?!?!!!!!

    We tried the power blend products when they came out they are delicious problem is we can only occasionally purchase the South West Blend and none of the others in our area.Shaws and Stop and Shop and bjs don’t seem to carry that line Hannaford has started with the Southwest

    Southwest style is my favorite!

    I love the southwest as a meal. Sometimes I add a teaspoon of sour cream and some fresh cilantro and white onion. And a splash of Cholula!
