Usually the steamfresh vegetables from birds eye ste good but this bag of whole string beans was aweful. More than half the beans tasted old. Like they had been picked much too late. I ended up throwing them away. Very disappointed.

I have two bags in the freezer and have to throw them out. The green beans must be either cold storage or late season harvesting. The beans are tough and mealy. I can at least count on my local store to stand by their brands. I'm no longer buying Birds Eye Brand.

Cooked in the microwave and then sautéed with mushrooms and they were so tough and chewy we couldn’t eat them. So disappointing!

I see that I'm not the only one complaining about the quality of these beans over the past year. These used to be a staple in my freezer but I can't buy them any more. I've been consistently disappointed in the quality - the beans turn out tough and inedible each time. I've tried cooking them in the microwave and on the stove but nothing fixes it. Super disappointing for what used to be a delicious product.

The help button would not work so I guess this is how I have to do it. I opened my bag of frozen green beans and found a corn cob inside the bag! Not an ear of sweet corn, a dried corn cob like you find in a harvested field.

I have been buying the Birdseye microwave vegetables in a bag and they have been my go to vegetable for quite some time. Recently the quality has seemed to go down precipitously. I used some whole green beans in a recipe today and there were some course and stringy beans and some that were over ripe, some with chewy seeds, and they just didn’t taste the way they used to. I’ve been disappointed by some of the other vegetables as well. If the quality doesn’t improve I will have to check out other brands.

These were so good if you season them just right!!! And don’t forget to remove the beans inside. It tastes so much better!!! All you need to do is steam them with some butter, strain them. Add more butter, onion powder, salt and pepper!

I've enjoyed these whole green beans many times (a "go to" veg), but the last package I had was terrible. The beans were not whole, and tasted like vinegar. Embarrassing situation as I had a guest for dinner. As a result, I would suggest caution when choosing this product, and thus my review relates to this particular purchase.

I also have been a long time customer and I have served these beans weekly. Unfortunately, the last 4 batches have been terrible! They are hard, mealy and inedible. I would love to have them improved to the original state of tenderness.

Needed this on a whim and while my local Target does not sell fresh produce, I am grateful they have frozen produce lol. Keep in mind that I steamed it in my Ninja Foodi, not the microwave.

I had been enjoying your frozen green beans for years, always tender crisp. However, in recent years I have been disappointed with the Steamfresh product. They turned out very tough and stringy. I had followed the directions, but was very disappointed. Recently, I decided to try another package. I cooked it yesterday according to directions and they were tough and the beans were large as previously. I put them in a container, added water, and microwaved them for another minute. Still tough. Another minute, still tough. It seems like the beans were just too old when they were frozen. I want to enjoy your green beans again, but can't buy them until I know they will be tender crisp when I microwave them.

We enjoy this fried with olive oil and crushed pepper flakes. Great as a side, lunch, or snack. Preferred on stove vs. microwave. Affordable and enjoyed by everyone.

We eat a lot of these green beans in my house because they’re a veggie everyone eats! These are so easy to toss in the microwave as a healthy side. If I want to make them a little fancier, I’ll steam them until they’re almost done and then sauté them with butter and fresh minced garlic.
