This kettle heats water perfectly. However, I did not realize that the lid is not hinged to the kettle, so I cannot open it with one hand and pour my water in with the other. I have to set my cup down to hold the kettle with one hand and pull off the top with the other. I also didn't realize that it doesn't have a light to indicate that it's heating.
