Start your morning off with your favorite warm drink brewed in style with the Bodum Brazil 8-Cup French Press Coffeemaker. This black French press makes your morning easy while keeping your coffee as delicious as can be. Just pour in your ground coffee and boiling water, let it steep, and then you're ready to pour yourself a cup. When you're done, it's all dishwasher safe, so you can clean up with ease.
I liked the seemingly heavy glass, and well formed plastic. It felt heavy and quality and I was pleased with how long it kept the brew hot and how nicely the press worked. The key for the press was slightly annoying, but it felt like a durable, nice piece for daily use. I was thinking about getting a second one.
I was wrong.
While washing it normally in the sink in a stainless steel tub, the glass split and broke into several pieces. I was lucky not to be cut.
I haven't even had it two weeks, maybe used it 5 or 6 times. My Bodum press with the metal sleeve and glass insert has been perfect for years - I've even taken it backpacking and been far more abusive with it than some normal handwashing.
I'm not sure what happened with this version - but I was very disappointed and certainly won't get another one after that.
Received with water spots on the beaker, coffee ground oils on the plastic, and coffee grounds in the screen filter. Really? Target, if you're going to send me a used product and pass it off as new, at least clean it first. I may not have caught on. Returned it so Target can restock it and hope to get it by another buyer.
I purchased this press as part of my entry into making my own coffee. The French Press is a simple enough device, so there's not much to say other than that this is a quality one that looks nice and is affordable. Unfortunately, the product arrived with the filter bent out of shape around the rims which allowed grinds to escape past the filter until I mangled it back into the proper shape. Every patter of this press is machine washable which is very important to me because I loathe washing dishes by hand. Great product, would recommend to anybody looking to get "into coffee" at an affordable price point.
