Yes, you can absolutely pour boiling water into the KENYA French Press, as its carafe is made from premium, heat-resistant borosilicate glass; just be sure the carafe is at room temperature before brewing, as any glass can be sensitive to sudden temperature changes. A: Thank you for your question! Yes, all components of the KENYA French Press are dishwasher safe. However, we recommend rinsing out any remaining coffee grounds from the carafe and filter beforehand to prevent clogs in your dishwasher drain. Hope this helps!

Q: Is this just for hot coffee or can this be used to make cold brew?

A: Thanks for your question! The KENYA French Press is absolutely suitable for making cold brew. However, you should note that most cold brew recipes call for a higher coffee-to-water ratio. We recommend doubling the number of Bodum scoops you’d use for hot coffee - in this case, about 16 scoops of coarsely ground coffee. Because of the higher ratio, the yield of cold brew might be smaller than that of hot coffee when using the KENYA French Press. Hope this helps!

Q: Does the glass part come out of the plastic frame for washing? I bought this and used once, coffee grounds got between the glass and plastic, i can not get them out.

A: The glass beaker for the KENYA French Press is permanently integrated into the plastic frame and cannot be removed.

I luv my little French Press plus its Pink and I don't have a problem with it like those up here complaining about theirs. Just take the unit back and get a replacement or ur money back. Does the job
Not sure what people expect for $15. But I was looking for something cheap and easy for my morning coffee. And this fits my needs. I heat water until I see bubbles all over (not roiling boil. I use the scoop and measure out 6 scoops of dark roast into the press. Pour in the water until the pink band. The press down. I kind of swirl around the water when I am pouring so no stirring. I probably should timer it, but I let it sit (sometimes longer than others) and press down and pour. I have let it sit before my second cup. There is some coffee at the bottom. I would not recommend drinking. Kind of sludgy. Happy with my purchase.

Terrible product. It has a cheap plastic screw mechanism for the filter/press. It broke within 2 weeks of very light use. Absurd.

Lid Defect!
I bought one in store not realizing until I got home that the lid was broken and unusable. Then I ordered a replacement to be shipped and the lid was also broken in the exact same spot making it unusable too. Love the pink but the & I wouldn’t risk getting another one. They are clearly defective.

Pretty Pink, Unapparent Broken Lid Renders Non-functional
The plunger was broken in an unapparent way. Upon first use it became apparent that the plastic surrounding the plunger handle had cracked and separated so was not functional. In all other respects it seems just as any other French Press would. It would definitely have been worth a couple bucks to get the upgraded version....but this was so happy in pink. Oh well.
