Mower useless with a battery that can hold charge
Very disappointed. I now have at least a half dozen of these batteries that no longer hold a charge. Before this, even when new and "fully" charged, only two bars would lit up, and that would switch to one bar after only minutes. Now, none of the batteries will charge at all. When I bought this mower from Black and Decker, I thought I was buying from a reliable American company. I now have my doubts. While the mower still works fine, it is useless without a battery that can hold a charge.

Battery disappointment
My daughter bought me the 40v weed Wacker for my birthday last summer. I'm 80 so I loved the lighter weight and long lasting charge of the battery. But this Spring I plugged in the battery and it won't charge. I really feel that I should have gotten more than 1/2 a Summer's use. My old B&D 20v weed Wacker is still going strong after 7 years of wear. Guess I'll have to use the old one even though the 40v was way more powerful.

Bad Battery
The edger is good but the battery no longer holds charge. Bought additional battery and it no longer holds charge. Have had for only 2 years. Now can't use at all. Very disappointed and DO NOT plan to buy another expensive battery.

Bad battery>Would not buy it again
I used the previous battery maybe 5 times the last 18 months. Now cannot charge anymore. Otherwise, the leaf blower is great,...when used with the battery.

Bad battery
Bought this leaf blower less than 2 yrs ago. I have only used it maybe 9 times maybe 5 mins each time. Now the battery won't hold a charge. I really like the leaf blower but very disappointed that I have to buy a new battery all ready. Can be tough on a fixed income.

BD 40V 2.5A Replacement Battery
Great power with 2.5amps! LED charge display lights does not work. You have to guess / always keep on charger.

Battery Lost Charge
Last year I purchase a Black & Decker Trimmer/Edger that included the 40V Lithium battery (paid extra for the battery). It doesn’t hold a charge. I can only get half way around my yard before it has to go back on the charger.

Batteries Suck
Same as all the rest. Batteries will not keep a charge. I have 3 batteries and I still can not finish cutting the backyard. The batteries shows that it’s fully charged and then it’s down to one bar after a couple passes on the lawn. Unbelievable

Bad Battery won’t recharge
I bought the B&D String trimmer with this battery. Only one year of minimal use and battery no longer will recharge. Costs as much to buy a replacement battery as the original string trimmer with the battery. Probably won’t buy a replacement. Not a good value for your money

Won't Hold A Charge.
I purchased this battery & charger less than a year ago. Over the last month it has stopped holding a charge for more than 5 minutes after it comes off the charger. I am unsure what the problem is, but I wish I had bought a cheaper set. I would have done so if I knew this one would not be more durable. Judging from the few other reviews for this battery, I can see I am not alone. I gave a 2-star rating as I will say that I really enjoyed this battery with my B+D tools when I used it prior to these last few months.

Not worth the price
This line of cordless lawn tools is not worth the price. Low quality and short life. I've gone through 2 batteries and one trimmer in just a few years with not real hard usage.

Battery no longer holds a long charge
Received two of these batteries when at a time I was able to recycle an older gas operated lawn mower and receive a battery operated lawn mower, at first was great until the batteries started to lose a charge almost halfway of mowing and eventually could not finish mowing even after putting the first battery on the charger and not enough time allowed to fully recharge by the time the second battery lost it's charge and lawn still not finished. Regretting having to buy another, or two, batteries wondering if after a short period of time the batteries will no hold a longer charge.

Not easy to find replacement
I live in southern ontario and there is one dealer and hasn't had any in stock for quite sometime. Any suggestions on how one might have it shipped? Battery only used 2 full summers and now no longer charges.
