Black & Decker BDCR20B 20V MAX Cordless Lithium-Ion Reciprocating Saw (Tool Only)

nice saw, but the blade wont lock in place, just flops

I'm 67 and female with 2 acres of woods. Sometime ago I bought a lightweight chainsaw to help me clear downed trees and trim brush, but I'm just not strong enough to get it started, and it's at the limit of my strength to lift and extend. I began wondering about and looking at reciprocal saws, thinking they might be useful. A friend had an unused B&D reciprocal saw with two batteries and suggested I try it out. I bought a blade locally that is especially designed for trimming branches and brush and set to work. Wowza! It's light enough to use easily, zipped thorugh trimming a row of crabapple trees and tons of honeysuckle and other brush and ran for a very long time (sorry, I used it over several periods and didn't track the time) before the battery ran out. I'm now looking online for the best deal to purchase my own saw.

Great little product. Going cordless is the best thing since sliced bread. I only use it around my house for smaller projects and it performs admirably.

This saw has been really convenient and very helpful in completing some difficult cutting during our home renovations. It works quickly and as long as you have a steady hand will leave you with a pretty clean cut!

I bought this for yard work and to remove a fiberglass shower/tub combo. Worked great, battery lasted long enough to complete the job, and easy to use. Have used B&D power tools for 40 years & they always perform well.

Put a pruning blade in this bad boy and use it in the yard for limbs, have cut down saplings. Very convenient! I have a 20 V Max chainsaw as well, but this is easy to grab and get smaller stuff done. Very pleased.

Bought in July, works great, cut right through the material I needed it for. The only thing I had a problem with is the Model was actually a BDCR20C which is the model that comes with the Charger and Battery, however that model did not come up in the list when I put the actual model number from the Saw which was BDCR20 it also didn't come up in the drop down list. So I registered under the BDCR20B which is the only option available.

I purchased this after doing a lot of research and watching youtube channels. This one caught my attention for it's simplicity of use, lightweight and perfect for the home gardener. I am 65 years old and in good shape I love to garden, but some of my smaller trees and older shrubs are getting to be difficult to cut back with basic gardening tools. I used this for the first time about a week ago, and was amazed at how much I got done. Great time saver. Thanks B&D.

Works great however,I did find it to be a bit heavy.

Been looking to get a reciprocating saw for a while now and recently purchased the 5 1/2" circular saw that uses the 20V battery as well. I have several other B&D power tools I used in the yard and all have worked flawlessly. Have some wood fence work to do and will definitely be using this to cut down the old planks once I'm done. This saw also fit my budget for around the home use.. The man in the powered tools section recommended since I already own other 20V B&D products thus making the purchase of a product with a battery and charger unnecessary.

I have several 20v black and decker tools and love most of them. This is definitely one we love. The bkafe supplied with the tool is of very poor quality. It lasted only a few times. In general we highly recommend this.

I bought this brand only because I have other Black and Decker tools with the same charger, so I thought it would be a good choice. Very happy that I bought this one. It gets the jobs done that I have to do.

I have used this saw trimming small tree branches and even small trees about 6 inches wide. With the correct blade it works great. I do have to keep a spare battery as if I saw a lot the battery will die. That is the only problem I have had. It is a great light weight saw for cutting almost anything.

3 blades and two battery pack changes was all it took to saw up my old hot tub!

Excellent for extracting roots left behind from tree removal.

This is my second saw. The first one lasted over 8 years until the case cracked because it was dropped. The saw has very little vibration as long as the shoe is kept against the material being cut. The battery give me about 18-20 cuts across 5/4x6 decking before I have to charge it.
