Okay, first you must know that I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who can't go anywhere without her "blankie". She and I love the book. Her mom and dad DO NOT. They were hoping that the "blankie" would be given up at the end of the book. Spoiler Alert! the book ends with expressions of love between baby and blankie. So it's not one of those "you don't need your blankie books". But my goodness, even two year olds need something that is theirs to love.
