Do not buy Blink cameras!
They don’t work!!! Batteries die in 2 weeks! They are constantly offline!

There are a couple reasons batteries may die more frequently. -Slow internet connection speeds use batteries faster. -Extreme heat and cold can affect battery performance. -Weak signal strengths between Blink devices, and the Wi-Fi network, can increase battery consumption. Motion zones can also contribute to batteries not working efficiently. You can ensure you have them tailored to your space as well. These cameras are awful for the price. The quality at night is poor, the cameras take forever to load and they require a specific set of batteries you can’t find anywhere that are rechargeable not worth it.

Hi Review, We are sorry you are not satisfied with your cameras. If you are having trouble with the loading speeds it may be due to wifi connectivity issues in your space. All Blink cameras require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Internet connection. The cameras use Wi-Fi to send images and notifications so you can view them from the Blink app on your mobile device. At minimum, Blink systems need a connection of at least 2 Mbps upload speed. Wi-Fi is also important for Blink cameras that need to connect to a Sync Module on the same Wi-Fi network. The Sync Module is the hub between the Blink app, Blink Servers and your camera. Without an internet connection, this data exchange is not possible. You can try resetting your modem/ router and verifying your Blink app is up to date with the current software on your mobile device as well. If you have any further questions, you can reach the Blink team at 1-833-392-5465. Hope that helps!

Cameras Have Potential
I purchased the Blink system after some years with Arlo and I ran them simultaneously while trying to determine if the value and service would be more beneficial. I am one that will pay more for better service and Arlo’s service or lack thereof did not meet my expectations especially for the cost of the product and service plans. Blink’s customer service seems to be much better, but the technology has the potential to be better. I had a few instances where the Blink cameras didn’t pick up motions, even after making several motion alert adjustments in the app, where the other cameras did. The cameras tended to go offline more and the only way to reset them was by climbing, removing the camera and batteries, having to reset and reposition the cameras and that becomes a hassle especially if they are mounted high and trying to get the same view as before. I hope that they ultimately would have a reset button somewhere on the exterior so that you don’t have to take the camera down or, even more, within the app unless it just has to be done via the camera. Also, I am hoping that they will advance the alerts - particularly coming from the smart alerts with Arlo where I could hard press the notification to see the alert and be notified if it was an animal, person, package. It does seem like a downgrade that I have to get used to, but that is something I have to weigh as I continue to look at customer service versus product technology. Overall Blink is not a bad system, especially if it’s your first system but I do hope that they continue to enhance and upgrade. I don’t mind paying more, but I refuse to pay more when the service is not great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was fairly easy to set up, and I like that there are no wires. It has a good field of view, larger than I expected. You can sign up for a subscription plan to get alerts and some other features. I didn't sign up for that though. I like that it is compatible with Alexa, as that's the main smart home system I use. However, I dislike that it is incompatible with other systems. Can't wait to see if it outlasts my other cameras.

Love this little camera!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this little camera. It's small, sleek, and fits in anywhere without standing out or looking ugly. I also own Ring cameras and found this to be much easier to put up and a lot faster to load live feeds and saved videos than my Ring app is. I know it is rated for outdoors, but until I choose my permanent location for it I have it in my studio/office to help keep an eye on my gear while hosting events with lots of strangers. The recording quality is WAY better than my Ring cameras, much clearer and so much less glitchy, even with my slower wifi. I'm really interested in playing with this camera more and getting it up in a final spot.

Quick and Easy Set-Up.

Set up was quick and easy and it works perfectly. We have RING cameras at the front of our house so we decided to install this on our back porch. Great security camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with this camera. The initial set up was easy and it comes with a mounting bracket and hardware. I've used it on my porch and yes, I've watched my dog nap on the couch during the day while I'm at work! You can set it for still shots or clips and it has audio. Subscription is monthly and inexpensive. My family liked it so much, we are getting a doorbell and a second camera as well!

Easy to setup and install

This Blink camera is wireless and uses lithium batteries. It’s very convenient for me to use it since I am not good at connecting the power. The video in the app is displayed very clearly. On the downside, you need to pay for storing the video.

Thinking about switching to Blink
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I were excited to try the Blink Outdoor 4. We've had a Ring Floodlight cam over our garage for a few years and it's been okay. We live in the country though, and don't have the best internet sometimes. The Ring camera uses a LOT of the bandwidth every time it records, and it has a big clunky wifi extender box antenna that takes up an entire outlet. The Blink outdoor 4 was really easy to set up in our side yard, and the receiver was small. The picture and video quality is fantastic and the features for specific areas you want to record it exclude from recording area super precise. It came with a 30 day trial of cloud storage for the recordings, which was nice, and ultimately has us ready to swap completely to Blink and canceling Ring altogether.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very impressed with this camera! The first thing that struck me about it was how easy it was to set up. You will definitely need the guide to understand how this works if it’s your first time getting a security camera, and the guide doesn’t come in the box, you’ll have to scan the QR code and it will guide you. The camera feels sturdy, high quality, and the image quality is simply outstanding. The 1080p HD video quality makes it easy to spot details, recognize faces, even at a distance. And night vision is equally impressive. There is a slight delay in the video/audio though, like 1 second, which I don’t think is a big deal. Something important to know about this camera is that a subscription is not required. However, if you want to unlock all the features, including longer video storage, or adding more than one camera, you’ll need a subscription. The good news is that the subscription plans are reasonably priced, which is great in my opinion. The required app for this camera is user friendly and intuitive, you can arm or disarm the camera anytime with just a click. I also receive instant alerts on my smartphone whenever motion is detected. The camera’s live view feature is great, because I can check my property in real-time, giving me peace of mind when I’m away. I love having this camera in my home! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable outdoor solution!

We used this out back over our pool and it works great with the others. I highly recommend this camera. We are thinking about purchasing a few more to go around the house.
