Blue Buffalo Homestyle Recipe Natural Wet Dog Food - 12.5oz

We have tried several brands. My dogs like this one best.

My senior dog loves her wet food! We recently transitioned her to the senior food from Blue Buffalo after she turned 10, and she loves it. Her tummy is also so much calmer with this formula!

About three months ago, our dog became very sick with severe diarrhea. At the time, we were feeding her a combination of Blue Buffalo Chicken flavor dry food and Blue Buffalo Beef flavor for Adults canned food. We had to take her to the vet to try to see what was wrong with her. She was tested for parasites which was negative and the vet could find nothing wrong with her. She was prescribed some medication which helped with the diarrhea but when the medicine ran out, the severe diarrhea returned. We discussed with our the vet the possibility that there may be something wrong with the dog food we were feeding her. The vet did not know for sure but said it could be a possibility. We changed her diet, eliminated Blue Buffalo completely, gave her some special canned food for sensitive GI systems and she eventually returned to normal. The vet recommended that we very gradually attempt to reintroduce Blue Buffalo food back into her diet. Over the course of about one month, we started to give her Blue Buffalo food again. We first started with a small amount of Blue Buffalo Chicken flavor dry food which she tolerated fine. We then started to reintroduce Blue Buffalo Chicken flavor canned food again which she also tolerated fine. Then a couple of days ago, we began to feed her small amounts of Blue Buffalo Beef flavored canned food again and within two days, her severe diarrhea returned. Of course there is no way to definitively say it is the Blue Buffalo Beef flavored canned food that is responsible for her problem but by the process of elimination, it seems very likely to us that this is the problem. She tolerated all other types of food just fine; steamed rice, boiled chicken, the special canned food an even the other types and flavors of Blue Buffalo, just not the Beef flavor. We're not sure if she is just sensitive to some of the ingredients or it we got a bad batch. We will be contacting Blue Buffalo directly and provide them with the lot number on the can.

I appreciate the real ingredients and wholesome recipe, but let’s talk about the real test: hiding medicine. I thought I could be clever. I buried the pill like a treasure. She sniffed it out like a seasoned detective and spat it out with dramatic flair. Apparently, this food is delicious but not deceptive. If you're looking to trick your dog into taking meds, keep looking — this one isn’t fooling anyone with a sniffer. But if you just want to make your pup’s day with a tasty meal, it’s a winner!

She seemed to like the chicken flavor, the scent, the texture, and the simple ingredients that it included. Definitely will be adding this to list of foods that she will gladly eat!

The food didn't smell bad at all, like a lot of other canned dog food. The ingredients are healthy and simple. I wasn't a fan of the texture it is pate based, I usually feed my dog chunks, but he loved it either way.

My dog loves this food!! He has bad teeth so it’s hard for him to eat dry kibble. The ingredients are spectacular and it has so much nutritional value for my dachshund. It also doesn’t have your typical bad smell, it has a fresh food scent. Great texture and the packaging makes for great storage. Definitely recommend Blue food!!

I’ve given this food to my dog for over 5 years and he loves it! I feel comfortable knowing it has good ingredients, chicken being the first on the list! The texture is like patè so there are no clumps of chicken or vegetables which is good for my senior dog with no teeth. I always try to buy the mixed pack containing both this chicken and a beef. It is on the more expensive side compared to other known brands, however, I believe it’s worth the difference considering it contains better ingredients.

We love that they are able to digest it with no problem ( they have their kibble dry but we add wet foods on Friday) and love that it has vitamins& real chicken&veggies for them. Will definitely repurchase for my babies!

When opened the foos dint smell like typical dog food it smelled like an actual cooked meal. The ingredients are simple and clear and my dogs enjoyed!
