not worth it at all
out of the entire roast, only a small amount (like, less than half) was meat- the rest was all fat and gristle...truly the most disappointing grocery item I have ever received.

Too fatty
Love that Target offers this, but everytime I get it, it’s so fatty! I have to trim so much fat off before and after cooking.

Shrinkflation strikes again: More than half fat
These are deceptively cut and wrapped: It looked from the outside to be pretty normal (butt roasts are always fairly fatty), but whoever cut and wrapped it just tucked massive amounts of fat on the inside and hid them instead of trimming them off. Instead of a "good" amount of fat which keeps the meat tender, once cooked more than half the weight of what came out was fat not meat, and there were large amounts of vein and other odd tissue usually trimmed from this cut. I know food processors are pushing more and more for "shrinkflation" (in addition to rising prices per pound, you're getting less actual meat in each pound), but this is ridiculous. Guess I won't buy any meat at Target anymore if I can't see the whole cut (IE no more roasts).

Awful smell.
Had to throw it away. Smelled awful like it had gone bad. Sell by date was in 2 days. Waste of money. Didn’t want to cook it and give someone food poisoning.

CRAP
Bought a 3.5 lb. roast to make chili verde. After I opened it and started trimming the fat I realized that there was more fat than meat. I weighed the fat and it weighed 1.85 lbs. Thats more than half of the roast is fat. What a ripoff. Cant realy give a grade on the taste because most of the meat is from King Suppers.

Perfect pulled pork.
We used a can of Dr pepper and a sliced onion to make the perfect pulled pork. Throw everything in the Crock-Pot for the day! I would recommend trying to trim any fat before cooking.

Tough and smelly
I decided to try a roast from target because I was in a rush and hey, how bad could it be? Well, it was bad. I’ve made plenty of roasts, butts and shoulders in my time and this one…. This was a Poor quality of meat AND I did drive up and the picked one that was expiring the next day and charged me full price 🙄 when I opened it, it smelled sort of like vinegar almost? I washed it -!: cooked it, and it took over 10 hours to cook in a crockpot and was still extremely tough, AND I cooked it with pineapple!! I won’t make this mistake again and am posting to tell you just go to a proper deli

Sinewy, Tough and Downright Inedible. Yuck!
I would give zero stars if possible. I wish I had read the reviews. This is probably the most disgusting thing I have ever tried to feed my family. I took one bite and spit it out then took the rest of the meat and threw it right in the trash. Sinewy, tough and downright inedible. Do not buy this. It's horrendous.

Gross!
The smell was awful... i will never ever buy that meat wrapped in bags like this. Cause if the standing water or juices stays in the bag so the meat is soaking in blood and juice. They get rotten smell

I wish I checked the reviews beforehand, was going to make pernil for my in-laws and it was definitely rotten. The smell was unbearable. They were very nice with processing my return though.

Cryovac stink that wont subside.
As others have said, the meat smells horrible. This is most likely a cryovac issue, but rinsing the meat and letting it air out still didn’t help with the smell. Smell of rotten eggs fills up whole house. I really tried to use it, but it smelled so bad. I went through customer service to get a refund. Just call, don’t do the chat, they can’t help when it’s a safety issue. How does this product have more than one star with so many issues is the question

Rancid meat
I bought this once and opened it on the sell-by date, it was completely rancid and rotten. I thought that was my fault for waiting until day of, so the second time I used it a few days before and it was ruined that time as well even before sell-by date. HUGE WASTE OF MONEY
