Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Comfortable moisture wicking

Great moisture wicking shirts. My boys wore them while hiking in high humidity and were comfortable. They wash well. I put them in the dryer on low. Fit is good. I just wish they had a pair in pink and purple for my daughter to have simple moisture wicking shirts (she only wears pink).

Sigh…we have several All in Motion tech tees from previous years that fit great, so I thought I’d try these. Unfortunately, they are a good 1-2” shorter than our old tech tees and about an inch wider. Beyond frustrating to not be able to buy shirts from year to year without worrying about the company changing the cut. My kids don’t want to try on a bunch of shirts every year. We just want to buy them online and know that they will fit because they fit in previous years. Help a mom out here!!

Love the shirt, HATE the forced color combos!

My son is very active, and these shirts are his go-to favorites. They wear well, fit great (a slimmer fit with stretch), and go with everything. We bought a bunch a couple of years back when they were available in-store as single items. I had been looking for them and only now realized they've become online-only items. Why?! They're great staples and are much better than the cheaper snag-prone all polyester shirts carried in-store. Also, I wish we could buy single colors, or pick our own 2-pack colors. The color combinations really limit the appeal. Instead of a great value for two shirts, in most pre-packaged options I'd be paying a lot more for the one shirt we'd want while being forced to wear a second shirt of an ugly color, or being forced to just discard the second shirt because the color doesn't appeal or doesn't look good with our complexion. Please bring back in-store availability, and either sell as singles in-store/online or let us customize our 2-packs!
